I don't get that last sentence. How to sync two different coins? What do you mean?

Sorry, I meant we'll update the code to match features introduced by the latest version of Bitcoin Core. Clearer? Smiley

On BitcoinTalk not being listed on /r/dogecoin - not sure, the mods are independent from the developers, but I'll ask. Certainly I'd presumed it would be listed, so this is a surprise to me too!

They don't even list Bitcointalk as a community and they launched here.   Roll Eyes

Maybe they list communities that only embrace doge alone, while Bitcointalk is mainly for Bitcoin and then for many various alts..

Doubt it because they list steam.

Anybody know of the best Doge faucets? I currently use Freedoge.co.in and it is ok. But I don't have a mining rig and only a few hundred thousand satoshis to play with, so right now faucets are my friend.

Your friendly neighborhood Crypter.
Hey guys should I even bother investing in Doge.  Looks kinda good tho to do it, but not quite sure?

Doge just had quite a decent price increase (30 something to 80 something), might be better to wait a little unless you think it will explode again..
Ok cool and thnx; I will keep an eye out to see what happens.

It would be nice if the motion had the Doge Pos mode for making stakes, I think it would attract many investors, perhaps the POS is the undermining of the future !!

After nearly a week my fresh install is finally fully sync'd up and my whopping 350 Doge are in there. I HIGHLY recommend anyone doing a fresh install to utilize the bootstrap as it will save a LOOOOOOTTTTTTT of time!

Thanks for the response and the information! I guess it would have been a good idea to ask those questions before I started syncing...  Undecided

About how long does it take to load the full block chain on the regular wallet with a fresh load? My old computer crashed and I only had a few hundred Doge to begin with, so I never bothered to make a backup. So on my new computer I downloaded the non lite wallet. So far it has been synchronizing the block chain for two days straight and is still 1 year and 6 weeks behind.

Are the devs still active in the community? Just a thought, but with my other coin, Zeitcoin, our dev releases a boot strap periodically with the block chain up to a certain checkpoint. By downloading and installing the boot strap it greatly reduces the time spent synchronizing a freshly loaded wallet. I am sure Doge has a monstrous block chain and so far it seems as if it is going to take at least a week, if not a week and a half, to completely sync up. Just a thought.

Mintcoin does a bootstrap also.
