I made over $100,000 on doge...Tipped Wolong. Do you even lift bro?

I know the fucker was bought due to the cap because I know who fucking bought it! lol

Do you see?

Yeah very believable claim. Anyway good for you since you made $100,000 on doge.

Oh, my head hurts.

I've got really bad new for you, there are merge mined coins with Bitcoin with $500 million worth of hash power and they're worth fractions of 1 penny.  And Devcoin only has 7 billion coins and way lower inflation than doge and it's worth 8 Satoshi right now and dropping.

No wonder you hurt your head there judging from the comparison followed. And that is a nice comparison there with Doge and other merge mined coins considering all that coins were more popular than DOGE and had a larger user base. You just rocks man.  Cheesy

I'm still very bearish on this until a strong cap of 100 billion is put in place.  Now is the perfect timing with the merge mining of LTC.... people bought into DOGE because the OP said there was a cap.

We can see that you are very bearish for sometime now and nope, people bought into DOGE not because of the cap, but because of the initial hype and that infamous wolong pump to 280 something. Speculators like you thought you could make massive gains from it but got fooled, Lol.  Anyway that wolong pump helped making DOGE more popular.  Grin

There is no cap at this time.

Hopefully the devs pull their head out of their ass and make the appropriate changes or else Bitcoin will continue not to flow into the economy.

There is no reason to have 10,000 per min after 600k block because now the keeping the miners connect problem is solved.

Sam Mother Fuckin' Walters
This is why I love Vald2Vald Smiley

You are up front with people. Tell them man...

Vald, did you hear Bluecoin is implementing Dark Gravity Wave? Fucking going to help stabilize difficulty of the network, i think

I think Doge should do the same but no devs stepping up.

I rather talk to developers who will do it

100 Billion coins and it's gonna be rare rare rare??

Oh, my head hurts.

So tell me again how ASICS (scrypt) are gonna miraculously make doge and its 100 billion coins rare rare rare and valuable.

That's absurd!

But can I get some clarification?  After block 600,000, what will the subsidy be, 10,000 per block or ZERO?

So is there or is there not a hard cap now?  I don't know why it's so impossible to get straight answers from doge investors.

Thank you!

I think you guys are forgetting to take asics into the equation.  Ok 100billion doge first year. 5billion all other years. and a whole crap load of asics and merged mining for doge. This means doge gets harder and harder to get ahold of. lets say kinda like bitcoin is.  its gonna get to where you wished you got 500 doge a day. yeah that kinda hard to mine.  and when something gets that hard to get. It will rise in value.  nobody is bitching about bitcoin being mined everyday.  and forever. btc value is in the fact it is rare.  You have it laid out in front of you. Doge coin is gonna become very very very Rare.  just look at it.  ASICS and MERGED MINING and block reward reduction.  this equals Rare Rare Rare!!!! We are all lucky because we can see it coming.  In ten years everyone is gonna be kicking them selves because the did not mine the Shit outta Doge when it was easy to get.

It's good ideea for now investing in dogecoin? or this coin is almost dead?  Huh

If you like investing in things where your shares will be diluted forever then sure!

I'm still very bearish on this until a strong cap of 100 billion is put in place.  Now is the perfect timing with the merge mining of LTC.... people bought into DOGE because the OP said there was a cap.

I'm confused, I read somewhere they were putting a max cap or greatly reducing the subsidy, is this not true?

Does anyone know how many new doge coins are printed per month/year right now and how many doge coins are expected to be burned per month/year?

Cause with this massive inflation it's just not gonna work.  Thanks!

Regarding the new core doge wallet 1.8.

I have re-synced my wallet from scratch with the new 1.8 wallet.

Then I shut down the wallet and add my wallet.dat file into my app/data/user folder and restart the wallet but the wallet shoots me an error after the re-scanning is complete. The wallet will launch fine without my wallet.dat file. It will error out with both the 32bit and the 64bit wallets.

The error:

A fatal error occuurred. Dogecoin Core can no longer continue safely and will quit.

There is tremendous hype happening around Dark Gravity Wave, any thoughts about getting Doge updated with it?

Darkcoin started the trend now bluecoin x11/pos hybrid with DGW, any thoughts Doges?

My informal, sleep-deprived opinion is "Please no, not another hard fork"

Seriously though, with AuxPoW we should have a lot more pools simply always mining Doge (via Lite or direct), and therefore difficulty calculations become a non-problem.

I agree but Sam walters is right, it needs DGW.

The darker it is, the better it is.

I won't be annoyed at all.

I'll just say 5.25 billion DOGE forever diluting your stash.  I still don't get why any holders/anyone would want this.

beyond me

Well, it provides motivation for people to use their coins rather than hoard, and primarily invest in related businesses in the very long term. Short term adoption drives value, and given we have 100-200k users now, and there's a billion+ potential users, hopefully the scope for growth that way is clear.

Further, any lost coins and burnt coins also cut down that 5 billion figure.

It motivates people to do something... try to jump ship before the next guy! Why would you invest in a long term anything that prints endless tokens that you can't even physically use (a USD you can use for joint paper/fire starter/loose leaf/clothes ect ect) and are diluting your coins making them not "special".  BTC has that special feel.

Listen... half of the stupid ass community is trying to burn DOGE and the other half is saying making more DOGE is good.

Cap the coin before the damage is TOTALLY undoable... which I think the damage has already been done, but might as well try.

bitcoin will inflate more this year than doge.. so quoting 5.25 billion as the reason not to invest is like saying, why invest in a coin with only 5% inflation when you could be investing in a coin with 15% inflation... also bitcoin still have to solve the incentive issue related to mining (ie much higher transaction fees, vs killing mining all together). they are using their current inflation to payoff miners but in about 5 years there will be a huge amount of mining hardware out there that is not worth the money to run anymore... but it just so happens that hardware is perfectly suited to double spend bitcoins... (this is why dogecoin is forking to auxpow now, and bitcoin will have to figure out their own fix soon).

Doge has a short halving (Bitcoin; 4 years); But this choice has not stopped the fall price, We have a lot of 2014 coins launched only for simple pump and dump, these operations have diluted the value of more mature alternates like BQC, later FRK, and lately DOGE. We need trust and stop these scams operations...
