Yep.  Getting pumped

Definitely. +27% in a day is not sustainable.

My crystal ball says: it will go down to 25, and will slowly climb to 35 during the next two weeks. After that, there might be a big pump or dump when merge-mining gets in fonction (hard to tell which).

Anyways, congratulations to the guys who bought at 20 on Mintpal yesterday Cheesy

Coolest place I've seen that accepts DOGE

Shit like this may give DOGE a fighting chance even if they are just leeching along.

Doge is on the loose, he is going for a run

I wonder how far it will run.

Should reach 40 sats then drop to a 'steady' 30ish*

*completely 'out of the ass' prediction

Aren't you from the Bluecoin community thread? I remember you, hai!  lulzw0w Smiley

I think Blue and Doge have a great chance at being added by BitPay.

However, NOT coinbase because they hired Charlie (dev of Litecoin) and they still haven't added support for LTC @Coinbase I do believe LTC is on their radar though.

Hai!  lol

I did buy some BLUE so I do post there sometimes.

LTC didn't merge with doge for no reason.  They both need the added security before they're added as a real currency.  And even so I think they may need even more hash power to be secure.

Coinbase has a bigger chance of adding LTC exactly cause Charlie Lee is working there.  I would be very suprised if BitPay adds LTC and doge and Coinbase doesn't.

We will find out very soon as this has to happen in the next few months due to Bitcoin going mainstream and needing help with cheaper transactions which LTC and Doge would accomplish.

Should be a very interesting second half of the year this year.

Any of you [rich] doge fans interested in buying a good doge domain?

It is: DogeCorner.com.

I think doge (and LTC, IXC + a few other alts) will be added as "real" currencies to BitPay, Coinbase and the rest of the payment processors, later this year which means massive adoption is coming for doge.

Therefore, Having a good dot com doge domain name can become quite a profitable storefront.  This offer is only temporary until I raise the funds I need so if anyone here is interested then PM me.

Cheers!

I have a question.

The new Counterparty features for doge, are the doge coins burned as in permanently gone?

If so, how many doge per month are expected to be burned and how many new doge coins usually get minted per month?

I'm trying to figure out if this ever growing inflation and dilution of Doge will ever reverse course as it's always been doge's biggest setback.

Thank you!

No they are not gone. You can't destroy crypto currency.

They are just on a address that would be very very very hard to generate on purpose.

Like find any of your bitcoin addresses @ www.Directory.io or just try to find some BTC in general. My friends and I have found used wallets before!

I think you meant very very very very very very very hard to generate on purpose!

cool features Cheesy why can't dogecoin work like this? looks very professional

Personally I'd be aghast if I accidentally leaked features in that way. The AuxPoW announcement was extremely carefully managed to ensure best chances of everyone finding out about it at the same time.

Additionally, we're following a model of keeping the reference client, well, reference. Fancy shinies go in alternative clients, but the reference version stays as lean as we can keep it to minimise attack surface (the amount of code in which a security hole could potentially be located). You can see the recent discussion on Bitcoin traffic being encrypted ( http://sourceforge.net/p/bitcoin/mailman/message/32737600/ ) as an example of other developers on this point; more code is more risk.

Cryptobang:

1. Well, yes, that's what happens when only a few people buy the coin. If you want a coin to be well spread out, people do actually have to mine/buy it.
2. The current active development team is all post-launch developers. Dogecoin Core 1.7 was a complete rebuild using Bitcoin (instead of Litecoin) as its base, in part because of the early problems with Dogecoin. Many of the early problems were also related to extremely high transaction volume in comparison to many other coins, and simply illustrated issues that weren't visible in other coin's clients.
3. You mean the 1.8 hardfork to introduce AuxPoW? Block 371337.
4. See 1.
5. See 3. AuxPoW means we can take advantage of Litecoin's hash rate to drive Doge along.
6. Dogewallet was a third party service, much like MtGox. Not sure what it has to do with anything.
7. I cannot comprehend how you think security holes in NAS hardware are Doge's fault.
8. There's a constant issuance rate per-block that's well documented, and is expected to be around 5 billion coins per year after the 600k block.

The DogeCoin madness started in December, 2013, when the cryptocurrency was released. Everyone thought it will be the next big thing, the new Bitcoin. Unfortunately, it couldn’t live up to the expectations of crypto fans around the world. In spite of people’s enthusiasm, the Portland script-based cryptocurrency was poorly crafted from the very beginning.
