A Great Time to Start Something!
McDoge was not this community's finest moment. How could anyone think that was a good idea?

Well, to be fair, that worked quite well for the guy who invented Hot-dogs Tongue

LOL, you are correct there, thanks for the laugh.  Smiley

I agree it does conjure up thoughts of dog meat, but I still like the name. It's not like I'm suggesting a McDogeMeat.

Actually, I think there was a McDoge, but it was removed with a few others, including the McDogecoin.

The odds are quite high that there will be a McShibe burger in the UK mcdonalds for a week!

A McDoge would be a better name.

Do you think any company, even one like McDonalds, wants the word "DOG" on their burgers?

Yes, but McDonalds would never have accepted it. Associating meat with dogs would not be a good advertising strategy Tongue

Exactly what I was about to post.

A Great Time to Start Something!
Doge's hashrate has hitten 68 gh/s today; pretty much what it was before the last halvening when price was almost double.

The new ASICs are glorious.

Great news lynn, A more secure network will help tremendously with long-term value. The large supply will not be such an issue once millions of people are using digital money.  Smiley

Yup Just like the ASIC's are protecting BTC from 51% .

BTC's biggest pool is back to 31% of the network, so this is not a problem at the moment.

Bolded being the operative part here. Just the fact It has happened multiple times should be sending red flags everywhere but no people just bury their heads in the sand and say things like you just did.

multiple times
The community/free market has reacted quickly and effectively each time which tells us the future is bright, and not full of FUD.

Fact, not FUD. Take the blinders off. Don't forget I'm a holder and supporter myself just not delusional.

No blinders at all: The fact is the 51% threats from large pools have been dealt with multiple times and every time the issue has been settled quickly. You are trying too hard to make things sound worse than they really are, so your FUD level could be called almost delusional.  Tongue

Edit: I'm not looking to debate, lynn was correct about the current BTC "threat" being over now.

Dogecoin has the advantage of having a smaller and thus more flexible userbase dans Bitcoin's. If 51% attacks end up being a considerable threat in the future, a change of algorithm could happen; the developpers have talked about this a few times.

Most of the time, a stronger network is much more secure.
No known supercomputer on Earth can penetrate the hashing power of the BTC network. The recent "51% drama" was caused by too many miners blindly choosing the "shiniest/coolest" pool and a temporary lack of competition.
