According to github statistics there were 296 contributors in Doge's development. It has been more than a year sine last change was made. It is quite possible that in private space some work at some level might be carried out. When and if there will be need of any change or improvement in anything we will be seeing movement on it. This no move in market has been for quite some time this indicates breakout anytime.

Moreover, there are still open issues to be resolved by the developers yet we see little development activity. I do think projects needs to have continuous development to be able to compete with other cryptocurrencies since innovation will be a key factor in determining this coin's success.

As per data on Flipside Crypto - https://app.flipsidecrypto.com/fcas-scores, DOGE having a grade rank of "B" would be wake up call to the whole DOGE community and maybe we should act together to put up more value to the coin and hopefully it will be upgraded to the next higher rank on the next few months. Imho.
When right time comes, and accumulation phase finished, it will be time for Dogecoin to rock.
Whichever rank Dogecoin marked by third party sites, I don't care too much, because Dogecoin has its usages, and its own intrinsic value.
When you look at intrinsic value of Dogecoin, and ignore all kinds of news around, lights will shed out in your head on the way you should act with Dogecoins in your portfolio.

Recently there was introduced ratings system on CMC which is bit complicated but for Doge it's ranking is very interesting. Dogecoin was awarded ''B'' category using different matrix and methods of analysis that is big thing. This is showing how healthy and strong data is showing this coin based on many different calculations.
Lol, I have not noticed this change.
B category sounds like Tier B.
No matter what it is, and whichever  matrix the CMC used for their ranking system, Dogecoin has still been on top.

That's something new to me. Where can you see the "B" ranking and the method of analysis?

AFAIK the developer Dogecoin already abandoned the project years ago and it's going on its own. It's a mere joke but dogecoin still being loved by the people but if there's a rumor that Ethereum foundation is going to take over DOGE means that there will be people that are going to improve its current state. There are people that found it not so good until today so if they ever are going to take Doge, they can do what the people want and improve what they want to improve.
Abandoned or not, no one cares about that.
The most important thing is Dogecoin has been accepted and widely used around the crypto world.
It has very high liquidity, real use cases globally, as you said the coin still being loved and prefered by lots of crypto enthusiasts.
It makes sense and will help Dogecoin maintain its survival over next years.

Agreed with you merchants supports and big adoption is the key of big success and that is the reason why Doge is looking stable in current situation and growing more healthy.
Maybe Dogecoin prove that adoption is key for altcoin to be success. We know for now a lot of coins and tokens created, without adoption they not really good in market. Not like Dogecoin.

It's not that Dogecoin would have to prove that or has proven it yet, of course you need adoption for success. If nobody uses / adopts a coin, how can that coin succeed? Adoption is the measure for success.
i think that Dogecoin is one of the most well spread coin in crypto , most people hold some of it , i know i am holding a lot and holding for a long long time

That's one amazing fact from dogecoin although having no development still being loved by the community. Yes, I'm aware that dogecoin is widely accepted everywhere and it's still one of the biggest and on the top of the rankings of the crypto market. We just can't belittle dogecoin as its considered as one of the biggest coin, overall.
This is a good example that the true love does not need reasons.
Do you really need reasons to love your girlfriend, who actually become your wife for rest of your life?
That's what happened with Dogecoin and Dogecoin enthusiasts.
They love Dogecoin without reasons, of course, lively Dogecoin, not dead one.
Hahaha why is it you just suddenly took in comparison of loving your gf/wife to loving doge?  Tongue Joking aside.
As long as it's functional and useful, everyone loves to use it and yes without any reasons.
All these years, DOGE has proven to be one of the major cryptocurrencies that withstanded bear markets and able to increase it adoption, this I think should be taken into considerations that could serve as  a guide to it future. Imho.
True, though the market tanked but it has survived and lively until now.

Any plan dogecoin add to big exchange like binance ? Is it good or not to buy dogecoin now ? Any plan dev to burn some dogecoin ?
Doge has a very long history with a lot of up and downs , very good coin , make your own choiche but i think doge is here to stay and in time there will also be , the better exchange's

Agreed with you Doge is very safe choice of investment this is has very impressive track record. I also think this will stay like this for long time and it will get more adoption and future will be more brighter than today.
It's not so safe as you said because there was a lot of speculators are betting on the rumour about the next development phase for doge will begin, a rumour about ethereum foundation will take over doge still not yet get any clarrification.

Usually I don't entertain rumors anywhere but If that has a basis and eventually come out to be true then  the whole Doge community should rejoice but until then we all shall be hopeful it will materialize.

I can't come up with an incentive for the ethereum foundation to take over doge?? Why should they do that? Just to merge the communities? I would expect that most of those who are part of DOGE are also into ETH?

Does the Ethereum Foundation take over DOGE? Just rumors.

Right now I wouldn't even call it a rumor. More people would be discussing it I think. Who knows could be somebody just throwing it out there for fun, no idea.

Bitcoin and Dogecoin are different ones.
Bitcoin has still been developed by Bitcoin core team, it doesn't matter satoshi left years ago.
Dogecoin has nearly no development, or no development at all, but it is amazing that it still does not matter.
We can compare that bitcoin having no satoshi until now but there are active developers that are working on its development. You can easily say that no one cares about that but I've read some investors that actually care about that.
For aspect of adoption, Dogecoin widely accepted by so many companies, so many areas accepted Dogecoin.

What kind of features do you expect from developers to deliver. Dogecoin in its current form is working flawlessly and there is no issue with its chain so far. As far as I know there was no such issue came into my knowledge. There are very fast and state of the art tokens but no community or trust is at back of them. It is trust and long tested market so it will continue with its current ecosystem successfully.

Does the Ethereum Foundation take over DOGE? Just rumors.
Didn't know about this but it's unlikely.
This is most useful meme coin of till today with real use cases continuously.
You have said it right. It's a meme coin with better use than those coins that claims they are the best.

I assume its just a mere joke! I mean who of these developers from both projects would be part with one another when they know that it will bring no good to both of them. Its like a marriage mismatch. Lol.

was attempting to include dogecoin in a wallet currently developing. however, very discouraged at this point. over an hour just trying to obtain a doge implementation for ubuntu. much problems. I almost never stray from compiling the daemon from source myself. Typically if there is no way to compile it, it is oh so rare I would install a precompiled version. However, just for a tester I figured I would add the repository ppa:cwayne18/doge. Oh, I didn't mention the problem was with an invalid detection of LibreSSL. However, OpenSSL is installed not Libre. So the resort to the PPA yielded the following error:

E: The repository 'http://ppa.launchpad.net/cwayne18/doge/ubuntu bionic Release' does not have a Release file.
N: Updating from such a repository can't be done securely, and is therefore disabled by default.
N: See apt-secure manpage for repository creation and user configuration details.
^ recommended if you are publishing a repo!

I take security very seriously on my dev machine. So obviously that was out of the question also. Resorting to the website offered me a javascript wallet which sort of defeats the whole purpose of what I am doing, I don't need somebody elses JS wallet for my work. I need a working version of the daemon. I have eight coins working great in my wallet so far. I thought since doge had such a low value it would be good for learning how to use crypto's which is part of the purpose of the wallet. That's about the only reason it was being included. Along with the fact that it should have been easily implemented being that it's another btc fork. So yeah, I am a bit miffed at this point and hanging up my hat on that one. Unless somebody has an actual fix for the absurd multi problem(s) I am looking at. I suggest to the devs to get back to work on fixing the problems that are preventing additional developments. Also having a repo like that just looks bad. The least that could be done is fixing the repo so I can download the damn daemon! alas, unless I see some obvious route to an easy solve as a response here, there's not much effort from this one on inclusion.

I hope the devs would consider your issue though its somewhat technical I think its ideal that they should assist you and try to figure out what is the problem and lend some assistance if they can in your endeavor. Imho.
