Personally I would prefer eac be removed from all but one exchange and have a direct to usd/eur before it went to cryptsy. It would do more for people actually trying to use the coin. Or we can try to get it on to as many exchanges as possible as quickly as possible and just kill it.

i am from germany. i dont blame anyone and have friends in the us. good friends! i have also friends in moldova or in germany and i tell you what: in every country are assholes. feel free to recognize who i mean.

this feels like a douchebag-campaign to make bad advertisement for earthcoin! shut up already and stop bringing up those national argumentation. we are all the same. we ARE all the same. period!

btw: i reported 2 comments to the moderation and hope you stop discussion this craptalk

We always rise to the occasion. Feel free to keep some fools from your side of the pond from sh talking and we won't have this problem.

For earthcoin, we need to wait until cryptsy and coin ex update their security measures. As soon as that's done, they will have eac up there.

No more guesses please, limit of 30 has been reached

Seems to be a little fractious in here this morning, so how about a contest? I know everyone is waiting for the Cryptsy launch, including the devs who I believe said that it was needed in order to move the Android app forward, so let's see who can guess how soon "Soon" really is.

The rules:

- Limit of 1 guess per person, and 30 guesses only in total since we don't want a repeat of the "Happy New Year, I promise not to gamble" nonsense.

- The deciding date / time of the announcement will be the timestamp of the post on the BigVern Twitter account, taken in Eastern U.S. time (NY City time), that announces the EAC market is open on Cryptsy.

- Guesses must include the date in mm/dd/yyyy format, and the time in 24H format e.g. 1/16/2014 at 15:37. (Edit for clarification): if you do not post a time zone, I will assume EST since that is the time zone that the contest will be decided on. If you do post a time zone, I will translate it into EST in the list of guesses so that everyone can see what has been taken already.

- In the event of a date tie, the winner will be the closest guess to the actual time of the announcement without regard to guessing over / under.

- Guesses from users who are on my ignore list will not count. That really only rules out anyone whose username loosely rhymes with "A Mantis Cat Born" or "Bored Pillow".

- The prize is 11,999.70837084 EAC which will be sent to the winning poster's chosen wallet address.

EarthCoin: if you'd rather I post this as a separate contest thread, please let me know and I will remove the post.

List of guesses:

1) volunteering2014: 01/10/2014 @ 15:18
2) alphapilot: 01/15/2014 @ 11:23
3) skywave: 1/13/2014 @ 12:00
4) MeGaDoOm: 1/13/2024 @ 18:00 (edited post permitted as the original guess involved time travel)
5) sussex: 1/13/2014 @ 15:00 (time translated to EST from UTC)
6) minerman1234: 1/17/2014 @ 12:00 (time translated to EST from PST)
7) virtualdn: 1/11/2014 @ 12:00 (time translated to EST from PST)
Cool SteveoMB: Never
9) kudrya: 01/14/2014 @ 12.00
10) Mole83: 01/13/2014 @ 10.25

23) Reserved for CoinManiac (duplicate guess)
24) honeypot: 1/13/2014 @ 19:00 (time translated to EST from GMT)
25) kwyjibo: 1/12/2014 @ 19:00 (time translated to EST from GMT)

Admins should use a couple of EACs to promote the Facebook page ASAP, with the build audience tool, you can really get 1000+ active legit likes every day with 20-30€ a day; only 81 likes right now (mine included) it's too low.

Do it for 15days, get 10k+ likes and then start promote EAC big! with news, giveaways etc. etc.

I usually do that with my businesses, it's one of the most powerful tool you can have to promote your activities.

i see 303 likes...
Which is very very low anyway.

I see that btw:

Just a question, is the EAC dev team base in USA or another country?

does it matter wher the live ?  Wink Cheesy
for what purpose you wanna know ?

Probably for the same reason people investing in any company like to know who the founders are. If it is legit then there is nothing to hide, right?  I would not want to invest a single hashbit if the founder was in a muslim country. Just be nice to know more about the people behind the business, age, education, experience etc.

Seriously then sooner you cashout and move on the better, EAC is not going to provide you with the fast buck you are looking for and that kind of mentality is unwelcome around here.

The Dev team will eventually become obsolete and the real dev team will become the community of supporters. There are no trademarks, ownership rights or anything. EarthCoin is as much yours as it is ours and it is solely based on what you put in as effort, time or paper money.

Also remember, crypto-currencies in general, are "politically sensitive". Although you may support them, many banks and institutions do not. They recognize that the probability exists for their businesses and rule to implode under the weight of debt. And rightly so.

Facebook was used as a mechanism for the Arab Spring uprising and crypto-currencies could be the missing link to unite the 99%ers, Occupy Wallstreet or even the Tea Party agendas. We are not political in anyway and have a utopian perspective and objective but that does not prevent this mechanism of trade to destabilize developed nations. There is something much bigger going on here.

Germany is progressive and operates it's society efficiently and without the burden of debt and so are afforded the luxury of foresight and planning.   It is no surprise in November 2013, that crypto currencies became recognized as a currency. However in India's debt burdened, high inflation environment, class warfare society, crypto-currencies have become banned, out of fear from the leadership to lose their grip on control.

Remove yourself from your own personal fears regarding EarthCoin and think globally as to why someone would not want to be proactive just quite yet, in painting a target on their back in a turkey shoot!   In time these currencies will become self-sustaining through their decentralization and no army or power will stop them. Then the legends that began the movement can be lauded.

@AtlantisPlatform

As much as i like your previous posts about the coins purpose, but now you are going one step to far. You would not like it if only people from the US would support and buy this coin, so you should be happy if the whole world is interested, no matter where they live. What do you care from where the people come from?

I'm not from the US and English is not my native language (as you may have noticed), but here in Europe we are more tolerant about others. Don't think many people hate the US, most of them just laugh.

it is easy to see, that you two guys are disrespectful. and you insult others consistently. that doesnt belong here! write private messages and everything is fine, but discussing your unimportant opinions on the back of earthcoins thread is bad reputation and does not represent all the helpful and nice people of eac's community.

Well I happen to love my country , the U.S.A. and I hate any group of people that wants to destroy it or kill all of us infidels, you can like/love them, not me, I hate them and won't support them. I am patriotic. AND I can hold any coin I like, I can mine any coin I like without your permission, yes I can see eac is not for the people wanting to make money, got it. I am mining for the sole reason to make money.  I understand eac is all about vegetables and trees, great, but this coin was NEVER founded on being green, EVER. Someone just hung that shtick on it after it was launched as a gimmick to drive price up, didn't work though, wish it would have. If I wanted to grow vegetables or plant tress I would have gotten into that business, I wanted to mine a currency which was going to go up in value, something that people would use in everyday life, not just cawwots and twees. Thank you.

Well said. Respect and trust is a two way street. Funny how the little bitches always get mouthy without properly thinking before piping up, then act the victim when they get their well deserved comeuppance.

Fuck the bitches.

I agree on the part about "if it is legit, there is nothing to hide" - something that REALLY would improve trust for alt-coins would be if devs and people behind the coin did not hide themselves. I understand there could be many reasons for this, but trust is what builds value here. Have a look at WDC (Worldcoin) and you'll find real people behind the coin and that is what I ebeliev is what is necessary for a coin to be trusted.

I know dev has mentioned that eventually they would reveal who they are, but not just yet...

Dogecoin is the perfect example and a good reason for the devs to come out from the shadows. People need a face, something tangible for them to relate to.
