hey can  u guys keep ur dog on a leach?

testbitcoiner has been trashing our thread all week

do u guys rly want this guy to ruin ur image?

all week??? you mean a handful of posts in 2 days...

getting a bit desperate? you should...  lotto is dead

also: you are quite bold to come here and talk about things that are "unfair" or "not nice"

WHEN YOUR DEV PAID SOMEONE TO CREATE 300 FAKE ACCOUNTS TO VOTE IN A POLL:  THREE HUNDRED
AND THEN BRIBED MORE PEOPLE TO SKEW THE POLL EVEN FURTHER

you're a bunch of cheats that push gambling, the last thing anyone needs crypto to be associated with

ah: and lotto is so dead that you STILL LOST the vote

Wait.

So being listed on cryptsy, which first you said you didn't want, then you did want. And now you don't care anymore, was "a few days away" for weeks now. Won't be for "months" now?

Why the lag? I think pretty much everyone wants it on a major exchange.

And everyone who's been harping on "we opened at 250, being at 220 now isn't so bad". Um start and end numbers don't mean shit without looking what's inbetween. Yes. 250 to 8-900, then back to 300. The problem is that it's been in a steady decline for the past week. No blips, no real signs of turning around. Pretty linear decrease. It looks bad to investors and miners. It makes it look like people are losing faith in the currency, and if you don't turn that around, it will be a downward spiral and end up being worth peanuts like DOGE and MOON and it won't have a chance to come back. Everyone will just say "yeah it sounded cool, but isn't worth anything anymore so why bother?"

That's the problem.
Btw, even at 220 like right now, with 4,200khahs you make 600.000 EAC per months, which is 1,32BTC
If you mine LTC with 4,200khash is 30LTC month, which is 0,87BTC.
If you mine DOGE (top1 on multipool right now) with 4,200khash you make 3.000.000DOGE which is 1,22BTC

I've tried reasoning with those people using that math in this thread and other threads...

it's useless.... they simply go to coinwarz, don't see EAC and assume it is not profitable.

even though EAC is the most profitable coin atm....

but thx for trying...

Multipool recently added EAC, and whatever your feelings about Multipool may be, I think they have done this in preparation for it hitting Cryptsy.

I imagine diff rates will shoot up then, so consider this a bit of a golden era as far as mining goes

Of course I could be wrong....it has been known  Grin

Very short sighted.

If you follow the trend. EAC will be worth less in a month. So you can't base your estimates a month from now on what the prices are now. Plus difficulty increases will further reduce the coins earned.

And few people (compared to the majority) have 4200 MH to throw around. Most people are under 2.

My 1.7MH rig made 100,000 coins in 2 weeks. Started at about 9,000/day and slowly decreased to 5000/day in that time.

Miners do it to make money, that's the bottom line. If your coin doesn't make the miners profits, then they will stop mining. If they stop mining your infrastructure fails and your coin is a bust.

Like I said. Downward spiral. Sure devs can't set market prices, but excuses and pipe dreams aren't helping anything either...

lol... someone uses math to point out the status quo.

then you bumble along and make bold predictions of the far future and call people who are not arguing in pure assumption-space "short-sighted"...

This is ultimately not up to the devs or Earthcoin team. They have already contacted cryptsy and BigVern said it would only take 1-2 days. However, they had to fix the site up and are updating it. They haven't added any coins yet since New Years. So when they're ready, EAC will probably be the first coin to be added. Just like BigVern said... SOON!

This is strange...has anyone else noted an increase in the quantity and diversity of EAC naysayers today?  We have the usual suspects, but today's statements are rather inflammatory and unique.  In any case, for those of us who believe in the principles of Earthcoin and what it seeks to achieve, may this serve as a reminder to remain vigilant and not to allow ourselves to be baited into trivial and irrelevant debates aimed at stifling EAC's growth.

I'd like to talk more about the initiatives that I've seen spurred as a result of Earthcoin's birth, starting with Earthcointalk.  Now that all things Earthcoin-related has a home for discussion, wouldn't it be best that we start migrating?
There is probably an increase because this coin is more of a fail everyday passing by?

WOW SUCH HIDING, VERY PRO, MUCH SCAM WOW

And by the way, how would you rate the exchange rate evolution on coinex and coinedup?

I thought this coin had potential and I still do. But hippies make bad business partners. I'm all for being green and helping the Earth but unless the miners are using pure solar, it's a lie. We can go out and plant all the trees and buy all the carrots you want, but in the end if the coin has no value apart from being something that can be sold for BTC and the developers don't prove initiative to make gains in innovation and profitability the coin will never see it's full potential. Holding hands as a "community" and singing kumbayah in front of the bulldozer of REAL economics will get you killed.

I think what everyone is forgetting is that Earthcoin is just over 20 days old.  In that 20 days, it has seen amazing support and growth.  However, there seem to be a large amount of people who want to see aggressive and immediate growth pertaining to EAC's value.  Let me remind everyone that it took Bitcoin almost half a decade to get where it's at.  Litecoin has been around for just over 2 years, other select value coins have been around for AT LEAST half a year.  What is everyone expecting EAC to be, a get rich quick scheme?  This coin has far more potential than other established coins have, and it's only been 20 days.  Marketing, merchandising, trade (both as a value and for goods), development, community involvement, I've been around the crypto world quite a bit and haven't seen a push as strong as this for a coin this early EVER.

On another note, for those of you who keep pushing market value back into the spotlight, how is it that you think your helping by condemning a newborn coin that you claim to be invested in?  I mean, what is your motive?  If it were a debate, that's one thing, but your inflammatory comments clearly illustrate that you're not interested in intellectual back and forth regarding the future and continued growth of this coin.  It doesn't make any sense, it's counter-intuitive, and I'm not sure what you're getting out of wasting your time in a community you claim not to have any faith in.

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, will have an important and necessary role in the growth of this coin.  Developers, miners, investors, charities, bloggers, every single initiative is significant as this coin continues to march toward its true potential.  How about we all start fighting for the same team?

I, also, think that is something that is lost on a lot of people.
It really is amazing how far we have come in just 3 weeks!

well I hope the next coin i mine does not come this far in 3 weeks or I won't be able to mine it. 800 to 200 is to far for me.  Grin

excuse me but we launched at coinEX as the earliest exchange with 250 satoshi.
now we are at 220

I really do not understand why people are so shortsighted and only ever judge prices from extremes and not over a length of time...

those are such amateur mistakes...

you people love to argue against the facts don't you? So testybits, are you saying it wasn't 800+ at the early hours of it being on exchange , yes or no?Huh If your ignorant argumentive self says no. then read earthcoin's post if you don't believe me.  YOUR THE AMATEUR!

it was 950 at one time too much later, and 40(!!!), yes 40 satoshi during the early hours.

so I do not understand your blind mission in picking 800 as some sort of watershed moment.

it launched much later on other exchanges, then it happened to be at 800 on coinex, and thus was 800 there as well...

but that kind of thinking is idiotic. what matters is the launch on coinex, since it was the earliest with any kind of real volume.

so no. 800 means nothing. less than nothing actually. unless you BOUGHT at 800 and then panic sold at some lower price cause you can't read charts for shit, have no experience in low volume markets and got fooled by experienced market makers who wanted your coins and go them. got them cheap too.

That's the problem.

I'm sorry for not being clear. I was referring to the exchange that is being built, not Cryptsy.

* We didn't want to rush it, and the only reason my tune changed was because we are now being held back on a few things internally that prevent us from finishing until we are added to Cryptsy. Enough time has now passed that it would indeed make sense to be there organically as well. AND no matter what 'we' feel, the majority want it there bad and we have no control as outlined by my three attempts to reach out to BigVern so far. I haven't once given a time or date, I haven't once speculated what will happen when we get there other than what you describe if we get listed too soon/prematurely. We will still definitely go through a new high(s)/stabilize, but more importantly, it simply opens up the coin to many traders with deeper pockets and the volume on Cryptsy does warrant growth.

Re "If you don't turn that around" < If you really think it's up to us and us alone, time moves everything and we can't fast-track natural markets or simply pull magic out of our hats to increase value, it's 20 days old, if you need profit that fast you should have taken the warnings that this is a long term initiative (and we are not going to blindly hype it just to get a blip).

EDIT: I'll try to end more constructively. Feel free to make suggestions as we're aware of the slow flux.

Still sick, promised I wouldn't post, can't help it need to write a few things.

1. The instant-wallet/online wallet issue: From the start of this thread you'll see me say we're shying away from online wallets due to risk/security. I got PM'd by the guy that did this and he seemed serious/professional, I'm still not even sure that this is/isn't a scam as way too many points of contact and info are coming in to do a proper audit so I simply removed it from the website.

***I'm personally going to take responsibility for this, it's nobody elses fault but mine, nobody else on the team really even see's or knows how many assets are flung at me to package, link to, verify, etc. So I'm going to go digging tomorrow and get to the bottom of the online wallet. If I find that it is a scam, and is provable beyond a doubt, and the developer of it is mia and refuses to work things through = I will personally refund your eac.

2. Treehugging is allowed, not expected. We're trying a few things differently, and appealing to the masses and good causes, so what?

Does that mean we hate profit? No.

I'm not doing this just to get sick from working my ass off on it for no return yet, but feel good that a tree is at least being planted and food is reaching the homeless while half of you freak out on us (well shit, I do feel really good about the trees and helping the homeless though, don't take that away from me!), but this effort and all the others are but one branch on our tree. The name lends itself to a lot, including having good things backfire re "no good deed goes unpunished". It's been quite reactive for us and we're taking in everyone's suggestions as realistically as we can. Go through the thread you'll see the foundation be suggested by you guys. You'll see good efforts being suggested by you guys, we're enablers but it's a collective thing overall.

****Do I want the family to hold hands and sing kumbaya? Not exactly.

DO I expect a muslim and an american to hold hands and get along? Well maybe not hold hands but yes I do see room to let everyone get along and not be divided or indoctrinated by your side of the worlds storytellers/media/religions/etc. It's not going to solve every problem in the world but the last thing we want is overly patriotic people thinking they are #1, better than anyone, or 'right' because their gov/media told them one side of a story. Think for yourselves, no muslim has done me any wrong, I live in an extremely diverse area of the world that doesn't cater to racism or terrorist calling cards, it's multicultural and I can eat Chinese food at lunch, while walking past a mosque to get there, and take a taxi back with a cool native or afghani taxi driver to get home where a handful of nationalities greet me in my lobby as the concierge change shifts. You think you'd get away with saying some of the things you read here you'd be ostracized pretty damn quick and you'd be targeted by all in turn.

3. The team is spread out across the Western part of the world - we're doing an interview soon and you'll learn a little more about us and how this project got started in the near future.

4. We're being integrated on CoinPayments, and we are also releasing our own mini payment gateway soon so merchants can utilize our system easier. This also means a merchant page is coming and it also means we'll be fleshing out an inventory page like nothing you've seen yet Smiley.

5. The exchange, I'd appreciate if we could just leave that alone, it's months away, no need to speculate. The beta testers signed up to the email list will get invites when ready. Fiat probably won't happen until phase two we will be legit from every angle legally not doing some underground quick cheap three day build but a real inc etc.

6. Thank you to the senior long term visionaries, adults, intellectuals, and enlightened folks who are sticking up for the brand and the team.

7. It's Saturday night - hope you guys are enjoying it.

Thank you!

Forgot a few things:

9. We are in talks and review with BTC38, they have a detailed breakdown of our premine initiatives and up to date efforts and some future efforts, all hope is not lost. It does suck that we got removed, however like any good debate, this has caused a lot of good attention in the Chinese markets re how quality control is handled and how adding/removing based on a few 'complaints' (by design or by real folks) can mess with a coin/brand. We even have an apology from the main editor for disclosing some info we wanted to be used for their internal team. All in all it's been a bit confusing for us but we're handling it and you may well see us not only back on there on a listing but actually being traded.

10. volume: I said this in the IRC channel earlier today. Right now isn't the most ideal time to point it out as it has lowered, however in retrospect it may be even more ideal as it's still wayyyyyy bigger than any coin. Go to Coinex, look at our 24hr volume, it's been as high as 50-60btc. Now go to literally all other coins one at a time, look at theirs. We've been their go to coin since showing up there and they had to upgrade (I can only assume it was due to our volume, I am not sure, but taking a good guess) their system due to growth for eac showing up there. Coinedup is a bit of a different setup and they are just experiencing the joys of adding coins so it's gone rampant/tons of coins added lately, some removed/being removed already. I'm willing to guess we still contributed to their growth to some degree too as they listed us first.

11. value: Yes, it was as high as 8-9 for a short while and had to find its real value. I was in absolute shock watching it hit those numbers and knew it wouldn't last, and kinda wish it didn't do that as it gave everyone a false hope of a continuous incline for a few folds and some of you bought really high and now are nervous/pissed/waiting to exit or at least take half. I've been in your shoes, I've gotten absolutely spanked and was stupid enough to take a 50% cut just to get out of that position and to keep trying to make back my profit elsewhere instead of being idle in a slow growth or decline and freaking out. Most recently when Bitcoin was at 300-400 in November, I took a vacation for a week. Just before leaving I was going to cashout my btc to be safe as it was tumbling and I wanted to buy in on a new low hopefully - instead I took a shot and went on vacation leaving everything in btc. I came back to 800+/btc and my associates all freaking out, China was just making it rain and I was on a beach, clueless, instead of here watching charts worrying about exit/enter/timing/news/etc. It may sound like I'm preaching but I'm just sharing a story of how time shifts everything, you may be right be leaving and trying to make back profit faster elsewhere, but you may hate yourself if the few catalysts that are coming up happen shortly after you bounce.

12. Yes.it's.only.20.days.old. We're not a meme, we're not a full blown agency campaign, we're the most real grass roots movement I've ever witnessed by a collective viral force but we're still TINY compared to the top 5. Still - in 20 days, we've created a world, we've developed more assets than any agency could take on, offshore/outsourcing included. We've come farther in 20 days as far as big picture goes than I think any coin has sans Doge, I have nothing but respect for the marketing/genius and 'bait into crypto' of doge.

13. Wait 13 is unlucky, I'll save my thoughts for Monday (or tomorrow if the trolls and baiters get to me).

Night!

I'm not a big fan of the #8, either. It's too crazy for me.
