New Earthcoin game!

http://www.cointography.com/

I've just finished creating a new game site. The concept is very simple, guess the correct number and win the prize!

The game is explained in more detail at the bottom of the page.

If you have any issues, please PM me the details.

Good luck!

I bet everybody will guess low, first.

That definitely seems like the strategy so far! We've had a few winners on the smaller game so far and I've increased its prize to 75 EAC.

No one has won the 1000 EAC game yet though, plenty up for grabs!

I'm keeping a close eye on it all for a while and when I'm happy there are no significant bugs around I'll be releasing the 100,000 EAC prize game.

So, is poolerino down completely? Or just the front-end? I.e. am I mining coins, or should I point elsewhere?

they have almost reached 51% and decided to temporarily shut down the server

you can use earth.coinium.org or earth.vircurpool.com/

WTF, they just shut down the server without any prior notice? And what about the coins that are not paid out yet?

I was mining LPC with them as well - apparently the front-end is down, but the actual mining is still working. I hope it's the case anyway!

mining is not working for me... my cgminer switched to another pool and it reports that poolerino is dead:

Guys we have a smaller EAC pool at http://eac.dedicatedpool.com and it's been making people a killing on earthcoins.  Sometimes it's better to use smaller pools because you get more of a cut and you can submit more shares without getting trampled on by the guys with 6 billion Mh/s rigs.

Come check it out.. blocks come a bit slower but in the end, you get paid more.. much more!

Come join us on this pool! We're also very friendly on IRC and binaryclock is AMAZING with support turn around times!

coinium.org seems to work fine just 2 min mining and iv got 1 earthcoin unconfirmed i dont know what is going on with earthcoin pools..

Don't think it's the pools.
I'm not sure how practical it is to mine at 20 kh/s. It would take weeks to see results.

I currently mine at 22.5khs and get valid shares (not a zillion lol but i get shares..)

so you should still be able to get some

@ Tins i know m8 , i dont have the money for better gear so i am saticfied with this 20 khash/s
@ Dweebs , yes it fun alride and i am promoting Earthcoin with that and on other fora to ;-)

so guys for the slow miners a little extra maby ?  lol

Possibly a dumb question, but I don't know the answer, so here goes.

The client appears to be capable of CPU mining within itself, like the old bitcoin client was.

If this is true, how do you set it up for solo mining, and can it be set up for pool mining?

Also, if this doesn't turn out to be a dumb question, you might want to put the instructions on the original post. Then again, maybe not. CPU mining isn't that popular these days Smiley

it wouldnt do much, you really do need a GPU to mine these
I'd still like to know. I have several computers that could be dedicated to it. They are old. It's for fun Smiley

under help on wallet you will find debug window, click it, then click console
in console type setgenerate true then enter
close debug window, click mining icon, then start mining button
give it a few seconds then hover over the little mining icon bottom right of wallet and it will show your hash rate Smiley
