Wolong explains how he pumped doge the way he did,  interesting read if you want to understand how markets can be manipulated.

That wasn't written by Wolong....looks like it was written by a 4th grader with below average grades.

If this coin is so dead then why is there a 17 Bitcoin order at 2 Satoshi on Cryptsy?

Look around and try to find that kind of demand on any other dead abandoned ShitCoin.

Can anybody find a plausible reason for this?

Cheers!

I don't know, but I keep selling to that wall.

Maybe someone is planning a big pump / dump?  I read an article once that explained how to do it.  Step 1 involves buying a significant amount of the coin supply...

Well, this means that the other big holders will profit from that too, right?  Grin

In theory, yea.  If someone is really planning to take control of the money supply and manipulate the market, you could profit by just passively following the trends.  The risk you take is that maybe it's not a person, and maybe a malfunctioning bot?  Or some other weird story...

But, I'll keep selling to the wall until it's gone.  Especially when my profit switcher says Earthcoin is the most profitable coin to mine in any given period.

The coin is still able to be mined, and is trading on Cryptsy.  So with a dev or not, there is value there...  I personally think it is cool how the block rewards are variable while following the earthly cycles.

Anyways, long story short, I have added Earthcoin to our pool.  Please feel free to drop by and either mine it directly or use the profit switcher.  I'm running a NOMP portal, with some very minor modifications.  Shoot me a PM with questions.

Also, our team (http://www.revivalco.in/) does coin revivals.  Please PM me and let me know if you support this type of action here.

Can't believe this thread is still on and this coin is still trading at cryptsy.com
I still have some coins when I bought in high and will keep holding it
Hope someday it will become usable

Hello All,

I know it's been a while, but I thought I would stop by and drop a line. I tried my hardest to get Earthcoin some traction with my offerings on earthazaar and posting as often as I could with ideas and initiatives. Alas, to no avail, I lost many BTC in the process and decided to move on with my life and search for happier hunting grounds.

I invite everyone to check out the Raw Coin Revival BTC thread, where I am spear heading the initiative #RawMetals, wherein the top 10 holders of Raw every month will receive a package mailed to them, with precious metals, collectible coins, Copper rounds, old us currency, paper bills, novelty tokens, etc. The largest holder of Raw will receive a Gold & Diamond jewelry piece each month. The minimum requirements are to hold 100,000 Raw in a staking wallet, and to submit your address and amount of coins held to me at the beginning of every month. I only had 5 takers this past month, so there is still room for members of the Earthcoin community to join in and start getting monthly Club #RawMetals packages delivered to their doorstep.

I believe that this is a novel, real-world, and innovative way for an Alt Coin to function and provide real-world value, as well as create a competition to keep the price buoyed and upwardly moving. There is only around 6 million coins out there, so there is a limited amount of supply and most of it is already locked up, and there is 4% annual POS to reward staking and holding.

The #1 Club #RawMetals holder posted pics up on the forum today, so you can see what you could have received if you had owned 400,000 RAW (Currently around a 1 BTC investment). The packages scale in value from the largest holder to the smallest, to incentivize friendly competition in order to secure the best packages per month.

A novel idea, A good coin with solid fundamentals, and I will be spearheading it, and actively making it a success story.

There is still a lot of do, but anyone who remembers me from Earthcoin please come join the club and help me make us all a ton of BTC.

I plan on doing this club indefinitely, and I hold a significant amount of RAW that I am happy to use for bounties to anyone offering services to help RAW succeed. We have a multi-pool setup already also that you are welcome to join :-) http://thepool.pw/RAW/

Working on other initiatives. If you can help PM me or post in the Raw Revival forum (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=737790.new#new)

Best to All

Many coins have a lot of potential, the sad truth is that greedy people exist and they just want to get rich the easy way.Let's hope that something big will happen in the coming months. Many coins started their way in December 2013 ,so there might be a rise to some of them.

Is this coin abandoned?

If not then why doesn't the dev update the OP?

You say Earth is listed on BTC38 yet it's not on the exchange list.  Not to mention the exchanges listed are no correct at this point.

Pretty amateur stuff here.  No wonder this coin is circling the bowl.

Yes.
1 of the 2 original Devs ran off with 100 Million pre-mined coins and sold them when price was up, tanking it early on. That left the second Dev in a tough  spot that he really couldn't recover from. Community tried taking over to save it, but in the end, there was only so much that a handful of bagholders were able to do.
Too bad, EAC had a ton of potential when it started.  Undecided

Let's not shoot the corpse just yet. Block chain is functioning, there are still exchanges. It's only a year old.

True, I was just pointing out the main reasons we are currently "circling the bowl". You have done an excellent job of trying to keep people aware of EAC. I've been in since Launch and am still one of the few bagholders I was referring to. Would love to see a revitalization. Just not looking good at the moment.
