We don't want 'an official' anything for outreach = more decentralized and we can't shape/shift/influence anybody or censor anybody this way - better for the long term EXCEPT if any of our helpers go rogue which we dont' anticipate but may happen (I love how this place self-polices itself so we should be good).
We label everything as 'unofficial' - and having said that - I'll follow up with: It's all you guys creating this stuff which is kind of important for us. Brand ambassadors and promoters are great, however we don't have a team internally big enough to handle the 1000001 platforms out there so seeing you guys creating forums, fb pages, etc. and actually handing them properly and professionally is priceless and much better than trying to centralize everything with in-house visions and moderation only.
There are 2 if not 3 fb pages now.

We don't want too much redundancy as you guys could be making one great one instead so maybe hook up on FB and see if you can work together on creating a viral campaign of likes/shares for coins or something - we'll fund it with a bounty to giveaway in the new year.

Sorry guys -- I had to take the bettercoin.org pools down as I could not afford to pay out of pocket just to keep the pools running. Confirmed at least 2 pools got hacked and funds were disappearing from them. I will be identifying the thieves - and will send an e-mail out to everyone with a positive balance, to send their confirmed mined coins.

Hi !
I noticed this coin since the beginning,
I tired to mine it like an hour after launch and got some 300 coins (with my PC = 50 khash/s).
After the first hour difficulty went up like crazy, I just tried to mine again after reading that people get good results but got nothin
Is the mining difficulty changes like other coins? or it has some special changing algorithm? or I am just a noob?

I've been trying ot give him a hand with the issue. Haven't got too far yet as I'm troublshooting without a copy to test fixes on but I suggested a few things to start off.
First in stratum-mining / lib / bitcoin_rpc.py between line 49 and 50 add the line
log.exception("Problem Submitting block with submitblock %s" % str(e))
That should give a better description of the error
I was waiting to hear back from him if the issue is intermittent or constant and if he can successfully manually submit a block.
If its intermittent a work around could be to run the submitblock thought a loop to try a few times before failing.
I have to go to sleep now as its quite late here but tomorrow (for me) if this hasn't been fixed I'll set up a test environment so I can reproduce the error which will make it much easier for me to track down.

I Have found an issue with the latest Ahmed_Bodi stratum version (Just like the instructions in this thread) with another coin I work with, however I believe you are having the same problem.
There is a check in Bitcoin_rpc.py that does a get block and compares the hash to the hash that was just submitted. This is to make sure the block was actually put on the block chain.
The issue comes in with coin daemons that only recognize the scrypt_hash_hex and not the block_hash_hex when using the get block command. This is where your 500 error is coming from. As a temporary solution I have passed the scrypt_hash_hex with the other 3 parameters to the submit block function in the bitcoin rpc. There needs to be changes in four spots.
I will work on a correct solution and submit a pull request when ready.
In the meantime , I could put up the 'hacked' version as a quick fix for those having trouble.
