long pow is good, short pow are 99% pump and dump and death coin.
If you look at the top 20 at coinmarketcap.com like 99% is still pow mode ( long pow ). The good thing is u can make a choice, or you buy coins or u mine, with short pow the only thing u can do is buy.. And why buy in a coin what isnt proven? Long pow means a long time to prove.
I'm in for this coin, miner is ready at suprnova.cc, waiting for launch in 8 hours and 30 min

I've been using my sha256 miners a lot lately. It is making a comeback, yes? Good to see. I'll throw some hash at this.
I'll fire up a couple ASIC miners and give it a shot. It's nice to see that old SHA256 is making a comeback.

I don't think you looked at this coin very closely if you think it is a renter only coin.
What I see is a long POW coin with halving every 100000 blocks = not great for renters.
