Great news - thanks for sharing it - looking forward to hearing more about the developments - great to hear that EGC is starting to make a real impact on peoples lives =)

It's not all about the $$$

Soil tests and ground tests have started to determine the exact location of the first EverGreenCoin sponsored water well in Bangladesh.

Details of the plaque mounted to the water well that will read, "This water well was funded by the EverGreenCoin community. EverGreenCoin.org Water Is Life." have been given to the construction crew.

The entire process can take 9 months to complete but of course, I will continue to report details of the progress as soon as I get them.

The rules are yet to be finalized also, but it is safe to say they will be similar to other signature campaigns as we are looking at other successful campaigns as reference.

Almost half way there already   Getting the nonprofit status will hopefully help us grow the community and allow us to do more projects.

How are the signatures comming along?

The EverGreenCoin Foundation will be a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit. Once we obtain this status, donations will be tax-exempt. This should greatly increase the capability of EverGreenCoin to continue to do amazing things. The legal status change will never change the fact that the EverGreenCoin Foundation will always act in the best interest of EverGreenCoin and the EverGreenCoin community, as it always has.

Both this nonprofit tax-exempt status and the legal aid of the lawyers that help EverGreenCoin will serve all the branches of EverGreenCoin and in amazing ways. For example, EverGreenCoin Renewables we will be able to purchase components for the solar staker tax-exempt, reducing the financial commitment needed to produce them. Keeping with our 'sold at cost' promise, they will in-turn be easier to obtain.

This also will open a world of possibilities for grants and other financial mechanisms we will then qualify for. Not to mention the obvious confidence it should give investors.

Please do understand I do need to exercise diligence and execute this in a well thought out manner. There are many tax implications and other factors to be considered for both me personally and The EverGreenCoin Foundation.
