~~~~ Einsteinium Team Update ~~~~
To every one of you who joined us on the ride…
Thank You!
We did not anticipate this level of support, or uptake, in the most optimistic of our projections.
Less than 24 hour since the launch of Einsteinium and we have five operational pools, the net hash
rate is at 1.6GH/s and still climbing, we have a block explorer AND we are on an exchange!
That’s not to say there weren't a couple of bumps along the way (we are sorry!):
The Stratum issue hit us straight out of left field, but we should have anticipated that there may have been a problem.
The (very!) rapid rise in miners meant we had to be slightly more aggressive than we had hoped getting more pools
on-board, but at that point in the evening, with our first pool approaching 90% of the net hash, we simply had do it.
So, Perfect Launch, no. We can’t claim that badge Smiley
But we do believe it was a fair and reasonably smooth introduction to the World for Einsteinium.
We were inundated with messages of support and suggestions, if you were one of the people we didn't get back to
straight away rest assured it will happen today. We ran head long into the bicointalk forum PM limit over and over!
A personal note to all posters on the thread: We are at 16 pages already (wowzer!) and pretty much every single one of you has
been courteous, respectful and helpful to both us and other members of the community. Please keep that up folks,
this is how things should work! You all put a smile on my face and kept it there, I thank you all!
Hey, Einsteinium Team, what now?
Well, obviously we already had some exciting plans in place that we thought we’d have a couple of week to polish up and finalise.
Since the launch, both publicly and privately, you the community have been offering support, advice and suggestions for EMC2,
some that have really attracted our interest! So we are going into enclave over the next couple of days to update our plans
for Einsteinium incorporating all your brilliant ideas and suggestions.
We’ll make an announcement in the thread laying down what we've come up with and then take feedback from all of you.
What you can do in the mean time!
Keep mining! Smiley
Keep voting for EMC2 on the exchanges
Spread the word – we are going places!
...AND
Please, Please, Please send us some suggestions for science related projects that you feel are worthy of support by the Einsteinium Foundation.
Leave your ideas here or contact us through the web site www.einsteinium.org. We have selected four to get things rolling,
you can see them here: http://einsteinium.org/nominations/ THIS is heart and soul of Einsteinium, we want the funding to be as
democratic and inclusive as we can possibly make it – get nominating!
Together we are funding the future with the future of currency!
What is the estimated time until block rewards reach 512 - 256 - 128?
Weeks, Months, Days? is there an estimation of the time frame to reach those block rewards?
Yes, there is! Please have a look at the 'block reward vs epoch' graph in the OP.
Each epoch lasts 36000 blocks (one block every one minute - so 25 days per epoch).
This seems to have some potential. I've liked primecoin since day 1, and this type of coin is bringing back memories.
I haven't seen anything science related since primecoin.  Keep up the good work devs.
fair and good launch! It would be better if showing more power on marketing.
Really good start for this coin, less than 24 hours and it has nice volume on the exchange, the price is not dumping, it mines very fair, the diff didn't explode and the horizon is promising...
Anyway I encourage the devs to be more transparent with the donation accounts, you know, the trust is very important thing for this kind of projects, so a transparent behaviour will make the coin even bigger Wink
Grats to the einsteinium team Wink
Its 0.5 % Fee, with the latest Einsteinium Code and all the normal goodies like Vdiff, Stratum ...
Help the network, join our Pool, we already found Blocks and payed out well, you'll get larger payouts
Roughly, How many of these coins would be mined in a day??
1024 per minute, 1,474560 per day for the first 72000 blocks not counting wormhole events.  By the time you read this, at least 2200 blocks would have already been mined.
