Can we monitor the funds raised during the ICO; some smart contract or something?

I don't think the wait is for ICO to start rather it is extended till this June 30th which was considered too long by the community and supporters. This is a general perception which I think they should have responded to by cutting this time frame in half or less.
The team know what they are doing - they want to ensure everything is lined up and works well. That is the best thing to do to ensure success for everyone.

Hello, 1 ETH = xx EQUI (Amount of EQUITokens will be minted based on following calculation based on 0.50 USD per token and price of Ether when funds will reach EQUI wallet. Example: if user deposited 10 ETH on March 25th, at 10.00, and price of Ether as an average between major exchanges was 1000 USD, then user will receive 20,000 EQUItokens

After raising USD$7,000,000 the Equi company decided to go on a break and think about next phase of project? Is this money relized in pre-sale only?
This is so much money that could really be enough to kick start a project from ground level i.e if such amount was actually raised.
So main time investors will have to wait 3 extra month for ico to start, i really hope after the extended time frame the project will in full swing and no more delays whatsoever, everybody is anticipating on this project so dev, you guys should bring it!!!

I really don't subscribe to keeping your twitter and Facebook blank for so long without any information to keep the community active. Alot are already loosing touch of Equi for the long silence which is not good for any ICO Project

The beauty of the platform means it can be used for any sort of invest/return system. VC is the ideal starting point, but the platform could in theory be used for any other market that is looking for investment capital.
I think it's a really great idea, I like coin that can do different things and not focus just on one thing. If they fail at traditional venture capital then they can do other stuff.

I am really looking forward to the late summer to see this in action and especially to see the projects that they offer to us for making investments. Going to be exciting I hope.
Same here! Bringing VC to the little guys is such an admirable platform!
The good thing is that the experts behind EQUI work like a buffer between unexperienced investors and the regulatory side of things if I understand the system fully. They pick the projects that will be listed on their platform and I don't think they are going to list any outright bad projects.
I also can not wait to see how it will all look like Diving into the new world of venture capitalism without having to be a professional in that area is a great opportunity for everyone.

It is a pity that such a wonderful project failed to raise funds on time and had to prolong the sale of tokens. Unfortunately, due to the situation on the market, many ICO can not collect the right amount for a short period of time.
The ERA of ICO's has been fading. But anything can possibly change with the changes made on their roadmap. For me, the new roadmap seems to be more solid than the first one. EQUI already manage to rake $7m during it's first presale with 100k minimum investment. What more if the limit is removed or reduced that can be affordable for average joe's.

And who will decide which projects people can invest in? Will the decision process also be democratized or will there always be specialists who decide which project has potential?
Projects will be listed onto the platform, investors will be available to have their choice on which one they would participate into.
