Just: isn´t the most convenient way to just change the Node in MEW/MyCrypto?

You need 20k ETZ and a server to be able to host a master node. there is no specific wallet for staking.. all you need is an address with at least 20k etz in it linked to a server running the mining function.

Yes it is true.. you can always redeem your etz coins wherever it pleases you... there are several ways to do this but the most convenient is using your private key to create an account in the Etherzero web wallet https://wallet.etherzero.org/

I´ve just read that it still is possible (and will always be until the end of the Blockchain) to claim ETZ when owning ETH in January - is this accurate?!

If so: what needs to be done (the ETH has been held in MEW) to claim them?
