In order to cover the growing demand in getfaircoin and looking to be able to buy faircoins in a price similar that it costs in Bittrex,  we have moved the price in getfaircoin from  1 € = 110 FAIR to  1 € = 100 FAIR  

This is an important milestone for Faircoin 1 faircoin = 1 cent   

Yeah! peer to peer microcredit to setup local cooperatives, and commons production initiatives, this is part of our roadmap, llnked with projects already evolving like fairstarts, fairmarket, etc...

And also NEM has launched a new algorith that is called POI, proof of importance. Anyway i dont see any of this two innovations, the fair algorithm that faircoin deserves...   

There's a new PoS algorithm being released by NeuCoin.  That claims to have some design improvements over Peercoin's PoS algo.  The whitepaper is at the bottom of this page - link.

I have been thinking about this and what might be a good idea is to create a website run by FAIR Coop and name it something like "FAIR Micro Credits".
On this website, people from richer countries can supply micro credits to people from poorer countries who want to start their own business, but do not have the funds.
Right now websites like this already exist, but the link between supplier and receiver is never direct.
You always see pictures of people you can sponsor, but it's never actually those people who receive your credits. You just give it to the organisation and they do the rest.
With FAIR we could make a direct link, so that people actually supply their FAIR to the people they want to support.
This way, I think alot of people will be much more enthousiastic about helping others, because they see the direct result of their support.
FAIR Coop will of course have to be in between, to determine if the people who apply for the credit are legitimate and to avoid fraud.
This way we could bring two different worlds a lot closer together and create much more unity and awareness between people.
And nowadays even in the poorer countries almost everybody has a phone and/ or access to a computer (Rasberry Pi ??), so everybody can set up a FAIR wallet.
So all these people who cannot get a bank account could now manage their own finances by using the FAIR wallet. With that they could hopefully start an economy without the interferance banks by starting their own businesses.

This is of course just an idea, but I hope we could make something like this a reality ! 

Great to see these things moving in Galiza.
The "Sistema participativo de Garantia" seems a great tool that could be an interesting experience,  that perhaps through faircoop could be adopted in other territories, and also in some sense in the fairmarket itself

Again, because the sustained tendence of growing of the price of faircoin in bittrex, the price in getfaircoin.net has been updated from 1 € = 120 FAIR,  to 1 € = 110 FAIR

In fact this is one time more a conservative change – waiting if the growth is being consolidated –  because the price at the moment in bittrex is between 1 € = 90 FAIR and 1 € = 100 FAIR , aprox..

So we will see if the price is consolidated, before to make further changes   

As I said before, a new galician collective accepts faircoin for donations. It's the Sistema Participativo de Garantia (SPG), a network of peasants, little traders and conscient consumers that aims to build a cooperative system of garanty outside the official "eco system", based on trust and mutual support.
Part of SPG approximately fifty entities, including small growers, poultry farmers, beekeepers, producers of processed foods, organic plant, several groups of responsible consumption, several shopkeepers ...
The scope is southwest Galiza (around Vigo and Pontevedra).
Although the formal establishment of the SPG will still take a few months, and the web is not yet finished, I wanted to advance the story here to encourage people to join the project FairCoop ... and to not remain without reward!

I've been in crypto for over a year now and I invested in all these crypto's that were shouting and promising that they were going to create a mobile wallet.
Untill now none of them actually deliver it !!!
But FAIR did !!!!! 

Unfortunately, I'm an Iphone man myself, but I'm going to kidnap my girlfriends phone and install the Android wallet there 
This is really great work guys.
If the crypto world catches on to this news and to FAIR actually doing what they promise each time, things will go crazy over here.

Fairmarket will be more plausible now, that people would be able to use this wallet for buying. And also is very important to combine with
tha android app from http://fairtoearth.com  So now with fairtoearth android app, people in spain can already leave their home with faircoins in their phone, and knowing that they have 10000 ATM where to change for cash if they have an emergency

And this is the beginning of a special faircoop/faircoin rush this next days. More updates and surprises are coming!

We are really happy to announce the general availability of the FairCoin wallet for Android devices in the google play store!

It is based on the great work of Andreas Schildbach the creator of the Bitcoin wallet for Android. Although there are currently no known issues we still want to call it a beta version.

To install the wallet just open the google play store on your device, enter FairCoin in the search box and install it the usual way. We'd love to get many (hopefully positive) reviews and ratings in the play store.

Hey guys,

also note that the probability of staking a new block depends heavily on the current difficulty. If you take a look here https://chain.fair-coin.org/rt/connected-nodes.html at the upper right of the page you see the current difficulty. It is quite high at the moment, which makes it harder for transactions with smaller amounts to stake a block.

Not, are not suposed to mint in 10 minuts, as i said it depends of the age of every transaction, and this could take hours, days or weeks depending of the amount.

ya i know,thats why i'm wonder why it takes much more time than the menu estimated..all those batchs are supposed to be minting in 10 minutes or is it possible something wrong with the new wallet?
