I've asked Litebit.eu to add FairCoin again to their portfolio.
LiteBit is a European Euro <-> crypto exchange with semi-fixed prices that support all the standard payment methods:
 iDeal
 SOFORT
 Mister Cash Bancontact
 MyBank
 GiroPay
 SEPA Bank Wire
 CreditCard
 BTC, LTC, DRK, DOGE
 Carte Bleue
 Postepa

@Enric; once LiteBit has accepted our offer, you have another source next to VaultEx where you can redirect people to who want to buy FairCoin.

The message is in dutch, so feel free to google translate it if you want to Wink

- Symbol: FAIR
- POW*/POS Hybrid
- 50,000,000 Premined Coins distributed through the airdrop on March 6th and 8th, 2014
- Flat 6%/year minting reward, halving every year until reaching the baseline of 1.5%
- 21/90 days Min/Max Weight
- 10 Minutes Block Target
- 30 Minutes Difficulty Retarget for PoS
- DGWv3 retargeting after every block for PoW

In light of the MintPal closure does anyone have any spare altcoins they no longer want.  If so use them to vote to add FairCoin to the new exchange ColdCryptos they need a total of $120 of cryptocoin votes to add FairCoin.  You can pay with up to sixty different cryptocoins.  Just click on the vote now feature within this LINK to create a wallet to top up and vote with.  I know we now have the new exchange Vaultex but the more exchanges we can get to add FairCoin the better.  To help with decentralisation and redundancy plus in case Valutex was ever to go offline.  Plus if they get enough votes to add FairCoin to their new exchange then it'll also be added to their Facebook Multicoin Tipping App and their soon to be released Twitter tipping bot.

Hi matthewh3,

thanks for supporting FairCoin and being an active community member.

I found some very outdated information you published at coldcryptos.com and/or whitepuma.net. Please find updated information at http://fair-coin.org/.

Could you please update your post at coldcryptos forum to reflect the current state of FairCoin including but not limited to the following items:

  • You published the old logo from the old development team, please use our new logo
  • The 'Coin details' paragraph is out of date, see our web site
  • The most problematic peace of outdated information is the link to the OLD github repository. If someone builds that he will be fed up with FairCoin right away
  • The FairCoin forum is located here: https://forum.fair-coin.org

Anyway, thanks again for your efforts.

New article, this time in shareable.net the sharing magazine of the collaborative economy

Fair.coop: Using Cryptocurrency to Bring Economic Justice to the World
http://www.shareable.net/blog/faircoop-using-cryptocurrency-to-bring-economic-justice-to-the-world

Retweet here:    https://twitter.com/Fair_Coop/status/522864767648559104

this is the introduction of the article

By Cat Johnson

Imagine an online cooperative that supports economic equality around the world and is free from state control. This is the vision for Fair.coop. First envisioned by Enric Duran, cofounder of the Catalan Integral Cooperative, Fair.coop is an extension of peer-to-peer values, open cooperation, and hacker ethics. If Fair.coop's lofty ideals are realized in a concrete way, it could prove revolutionary.

Using Faircoin, a cryptocurrency, Fair.coop's goal is to reduce inequality as much as possible by using market forces to, as stated on the website, “hack the foreign exchange market by inserting the cooperation virus.”

The main objective of Fair.coop is to provide a means by which collectives in the Global South may receive donations in, and save, Faircoin. As the value of Faircoin increases, so too does the collective wealth of these communities. To start, Fair.coop has been supplied with 10,000,000 Faircoins, which represents 20 percent of total existing coins. The project marks the beginning of a concrete plan to alleviate economic inequity without going through the channels of nation-states. It is driven exclusively by civil society.

Alleviating economic injustice is no small undertaking, to be sure, but as Stacco Troncoso of the P2P Foundation writes, “The punk rock spirit that underlies the Fair.Coop initiative is admirable. Infused with an attitude transcending punk’s DIY ethos and arriving at a DIWO (Do it with Others) position, Fair.Coop has decided to tackle the big picture, reaching out to people and collectives who want practical action to offset the abundance of rhetoric.”

On coinssource.com  is explained in this link -> http://www.coinssource.com/trust-index-verification/  i think that this could be an action of
thokon00, because he is who is the core developer in faircoin. I can help if needed, but i see this as a questionary for "shitcoins" and seems to my view ridiculous, to need go there for bittrex

I have answered this to bittrex form in this points ->

Proof of dev:  Contact cryptosian.com or coinssource.com to get rated

We are one of the few altcoins with public representats from the real world
you can see here: https://fair.coop/councils/

Get your source code reviewed by a trusted member of the community

We have already the support of trusted members of the crypto community like Amir Taaki
Here a video of him talking about faircoop and faircoin -> https://vimeo.com/107737105

In fact, we are more validated in the real world than coinssource or bittrex, or wathever of this ....So  is they problem if they are not able to read a bit...

You've got a very valid point there. I didn't have a look at the 'buy-me-some-trust-already' link you just forwarded, so for anyone interested, here is the contents:
Quote
Trust Index Score, backed by Coins Source
Trust Review, Show off that you are a trusted developer
Unlimited Re-Verifications
Marketing and Publicity through Coins Source and our social media outlets
Above Satisfactory customer support
NDA agreement to fully protect your identity and any information submitted to Coins Source Inc.

Especially that last point; 'a non disclosure agreement from Coins Source to fully protect the identity of the Coin developer'.
Is the community to expect to fully trust Coin Source to trust whoever is behind a coin with a big sigil-of-approval?
From what I've learned and have seen about FairCoin in the last couple of months; we are our own source of trust and what we are doesn't simply fit in some table row on CoinSource. Smiley

Enric, can we work on those two points?
- http://www.cryptosian.com/ is kinda dead though.
- http://www.coinssource.com/ how do we get rated there?
- Can we have the source code reviewed? Maybe Amir can play a role in that?

Hello all

A new resource has been created in the faircoin environment

Is a free market for anyone to buy and sell goods, services, in faircoin. Prices are dictated by the buyers and sellers.

good exchange  Cheesy
Superb!
I'll add my BitMaker casing to it tonight - maybe it'll earn me some FairCoins!

So, for anyone who is interested in a GPU mining case:

It is also impossible to login for me like Drakandar because of 2FA.  Where can I find the button "user notes"? If I click on support it shows me a "404 not found" error

Hit the reset password link. Once you've entered your new password, it should skip 2FA and forward you straigth to the withdrawl form!

Ok, so i manage to withdraw my BC from Mintpal straight into my Bittrex account.

I really thought they were gone, so i guess you were right Enric.

Apologies and i hope everyone gets their Faircoin.

Did you see any popups or anything after saving the withdraw form?
It just saves with me and that's it...

Sorry i was away from the computer, yeah it just saves it, no pop ups

Yep, same with me...
Doesn't give me much confidence...

Let me know if you receive anything !  Smiley

I received my GroestlCoins (yet another coin in distress... Tried downloading the wallet, but Chrome forbids me to do so (lol!), wallet is broken on bittrex, moved them to Poloniex instead) after the page updated with a Withdrawal Status in the form of a transaction id.
My BTC withdrawl is still in state 'Requested'.

I think they really messed the FairCoin migration up... This is gonna take a while:

This is what Mintpal says about withdrawing:

Platform Notes
Withdrawals are batched up and manually approved, and there may be delays due to the sheer volume that we are expecting.

The following daemons are currently unavailable. Withdrawals for these currencies will be processed as soon as possible.

FLT
KARM
MIN
XCR
XMR

The following daemons are exhibiting instability, and there may be delays with withdrawal.

FAIR
SUPER
TES

The following daemons are currently undergoing a rebuild / reindex. Withdrawals will be processed once complete.

BTC

All other daemons are currently functioning as normal.

So there are "delays"with withdrawal. I have no idea what that means, but I really hope to see my 37K FAIR again...

Also the interface for withdrawing is really amateuristic.
After you enter your withdrawal adress for the different coins, you can click on "Save changes"and then all adresses just dissapear.
You can check nowhere what you entered and what the status is.
I had to add some addresses later, so I just saved it again, but I have no idea if they have received it and/ or what the status is.
This really really sucks.
I really hope amateur hour will soon be over in cryptoland...

Does anybody have positive news with regard to Mintpal withdrawals as of today in general ?
