Overall, it is a good year for fair coop. Good job to all involve.
It would be great if there was a balance between getfaircoin and bitrex. As I understand, at the moment, people buying on getfaircoin are mostly doing a donation to faircoop. I hope thing will get fairer for them. There is no way for them to use bitbill after buying in getfaircoin.

We are one! (year old). We celebrated our first anniversary with our first Global General Assembly, held simultaneously in several local nodes, and also online. About 20 members from Europe and South America gathered at their local nodes, and online, to discuss different issues related to FairCoop. In this article we will try and summarize some achievements and news from this first year of activity.
We are making some changes to our website to make it faster, simpler, and more accessible from slow connections, therefore more Global South-friendly.
We are simplifying the way we explain our ecology –the relationship between the different elements of our ecosystem– to make it easier to understand. We are also looking for a Flash-free alternative to our Prezi presentation.
We have drawn some international interest; we have been present, physically and virtually, in several fairs, congresses and events in different countries, like the FairCoin Week, the Summer Camp  in Greece and many more! We are also in the press. As a global virus, we are everywhere! Especially in Greece, where we are making a big effort in building alternatives to protect the Greek people from the financial terrrorist attacks it’s constantly suffering.
In these 12 months we have developed multiple apps and tools to make it really easy for everyone to use FairCoin. Now you can buy or sell FairCoins via wire transfer, credit card, or directly (and anonymously) with cash in one of our Points Of Exchange (POEs). You can also withdraw cash from an ATM without the need of having a bank account, thanks to our collaboration with ChipChap and HalCash. Plus, soon many Bitcoin ATMs will also work with FairCoin. With FairBill you can pay your bills with FairCoin. There’s even a paper wallet for offline payments.

CoopShares is a new way to invest in FairCoop, just with Faircoin or with a mixed option (faircoin + euros). It is also possible to contribute to our crowdfunding campaign. And of course, everyone is welcome to join the FairNetwork where they can keep up to date and leave their comments and questions.
We are out in the streets with our FairMarket. The list of merchants accepting FairCoin is still slow but steadily growing. We have launched several campaigns to attract users, and there are many more to come!
The network of local nodes keeps expanding. Some of the seeds we planted are growing into little trees in places such as Barcelona, Madrid, Brussels, Buenos Aires, Bilbao, Athens, Heraklion, Galiza, etc. A map with all the local nodes will be ready very soon.
Economic transparency is a priority for us. All income and expenses are published periodically. You can also check them directly on the blockchain.
Open assembly. From now on we will have monthly online meetings using Telegram, open to anyone wishing to participate. Just join the group! Next meeting is on October 15th, 2015.
…and there’s much more! We are very proud of Fair Coop’s achievments in this last year, but we are still far from becoming a global alternative for those who most need it. We are full of energy and commited to keep working on this fascinating project. Let’s keep infecting the filthy capitalist system with the virus of cooperation!

From the provisional ecosystem council to the Open Ecosystem Assembly

For its first anniversary, Faircoop would like to celebrate two things: firstly, all the advances which have been achieved in terms of the development of tools, and secondly, the number of individuals and collectives which have joined the project.

We are now taking another step in the development of the political process for open participation with the inauguration of a system of open assemblies in the FairCoop ecosystem.

Up until now, this function has been carried out by the provisional ecosystem council, which was created soon after the start of Faircoop. It was formed from people with experience in different social movements and collectives with close affinities to FairCoop's ideas, and they were put in charge of taking some decisions affecting the general functioning of FairCoop.

Considering its provisional nature, it was decided in August at the Summer Camp (since the aim was to include participants from everywhere), that although there had been an increase in the number of participants in the project, there were still not sufficient numbers for it to make sense creating a more definitive Ecosystem Council – as this process should allow everyone who would like to participate in the creation of the council to do so, and thus empower themselves.

The first Open Assembly will be next Thursday 17th September at 19.00 CET (Madrid-Paris-Rome-Berlin) in the FairCoop assemblies group created in Telegram instant messenger app. Send us your telephone number so that we can add you to the group and you will be able to participate.

Ah ok so in a way you provided the foreground they provided the infrastructure and services for taking the payments who act like a middle man and are fully licensed ect. You provide grounds for the use of service on yours to theirs and you send the FAIR to the customers. Will be sure to use in the future as this is sure a nice service to have and other options using bank wire too is a nice edition to buying too.

In that case is Entropy Factory - Chip chap who is registered and compliant with all the regulations.  Like Fairbill is in their case.

Nice update but what do you have in place for security for taking on peoples card details and being used on the site. Are you fully registered and compliant with EU regulations to accept card payments and also use fiat currency? Is a good update tho am sure to use and buy some with fiat with my own card providing some of the answers can be confirmed above.

The end consumer is not selling in that places, that are related bittrex price. Who is doing that are I think big holders that needs to make some cash.
In fact by the merchants that receive payments are not doing sells. they are keeping the faircoins for the moment, and with use.fair-coin.org we have the compromise to rebuy them at getfaircoin price.

Otherwise, we has been a long time, where the chip chap service, like fairtoearth was only for cashout, but this is going to change in 3,2,1...
At the moment chip chap is already offering their app to buy bitcoin instantly with credit card with success.

If the end consumer of the Faircoin eg bitbill/ ATMs  etc don't keep fair coin and sell it Immediately for Fiat whats the point of Fair Coin.
I understand the usage is increasing.. but how much usage is increasing by people buying and not only selling whatever freecoin is being distributed to these shops..

So this shows that main factor for that question is not coins available but claiming activity

How many coins from mintpal and redistribution fork are still able to be claim, and how many coins were claims back in total since May?
