Thank you all for your comments.

I read all the information in faircoin website,  knowing the opinions/doubts from people around me it seems that faircoop must address all possible questions in a very down to earth way. The big economical problems we live in are driven from the lack of economical culture of the people, the lack of transparency of the system that makes people not wanting to know. And criptocoins are still very very far away from people who should be interested in use them, even as a political tool (for instance, some of my friends hate any kind of relation with money, saying that shouldn't exist).

Maybe I have some time during the weekend to read all the posts here and take some notes about simple answers to hard questions (don't know if anybody is doing this or have done...?) There is one in particular that I believe that can make make commune people approach more or less from criptocurrencies: the euros that received from the getfaircoin are transparent, can we see what amount and know what are they used for?

Only this last week I started to spend more time reading random news about kriptocoins and it's very easy to see the effort, the barriers and the smock that the media in general put to turn people away from a system that is effectively an alternative to state money. Do you recommend any written text or book that address in a positive way the connections between kriptocoins and the creation of a better world, or in a more philosophical way, the fairness of using the tools of the systems to fight it back...

Hello to all.

It's my first post. I'm new to faircoin/cryptocurrencies and have one naive question and a comment...

In alcurex faircoin value is totality different, I don't understand why nobody refers to this and only to the bittrex value...

Picking on the Smartaction last sentence about selling faircoin, in my opinion the only way to make this coin work is keep it in a restrict number of users that only sell it to pay necessary monthly bills and get more faircoins in fairmarket (just like a regular job). If the people who have the big amounts of faircoin sell it to make big money everybody loses... right?

Hi OrangeMachine and welcome Smiley

I'll comment a bit on what you wrote. Please note that this is just my view on crypto's and not the only truth Tongue

For a lot of crypto's what you wrote is actually the case. They never make it off the exchange and the amount of coins in existence is way to much to be support by the community using them. In that case it is in fact only a pile of BitCoin where people colaborately deposit and withdraw from, which controls the value.

Things become different when a crypto gets more purpose. Instead of trading the coin for other currencies, people will be able to trade a coin for goods or services - you'll get coin-2-coin traffic. In that way they skip the money pile game completely. A valid or slowly changing reference value helps to build trust - which is one of the many roles of getfaircoin.

On the last part; people with big amounts of coins can influence the market heavily. I personally believe that this is what we're seeing with BitCoin right now. It is interesting to say the least that it has been stuck at 220ish euro per bitcoin for so long.

Not only the distribution of a coins wealth, but also the big account holders will eventually determine a coins short term fate. It has to survive long enough so it can fragment, decentralize and become a stable and accepted currency. Knowing who your big account holders are and what their intentions are can help a great deal in growing to be more resilient.

For the last part; open up the markets in Bittrex and run a few calculations and see how much money you - hypothetically - can actually make on the different coins if you where a 'big account holder' and want sell for 'big money'. You'd be supprised how fast it will totally deplete the market, how little it will earn and how much damage you it do.

If you look you will see that the traded volume of Alcurex is very very tiny.

Also you can't restrict the trading of decentralised peer to peer cryptocurrencies as they are in essence by design open networks that anyone can use.  If you tried to change that then you would be losing one of the greatest benefits of cryptocurrencies.

In fact, there are not sell order in Alcurex.  You see 15000 because was the last trade, but the situation today is some tiny buy orders the bigger one at 30000
No sell orders...  So, .... you can learn by yourself going to the market...   https://alcurex.org/index.php/crypto/market?pair=fair_btc

my dear @smartaction

the price in getfaircoin is too much low to bitrrex...
the price now is around 31000-34000 in bitrrex
it's about 14-15 FAIR per EUR

maybe my worry is not necessary.
but there still have some risk to lost the coop funds if some short time trader take this profit.

Is not such risk for the coop, because I share my reserves with getfaircoin, but anyway if someone wants to buy
in getfaircoin will receive the faircoin after 48 hours and will do better if save it, than fast sell,  because most probably it will continue growing  Grin

edit: the reason  is that not makes sense in getfaircoin to change from 23 to 14 in 24 hours..   I prefer to take that risk and make things happen more steadly

My talk in OuishareFest has been moved to tomorrow due technical problems in The fest

you can follow online here: http://www.glowbl.com/OuiShareFestWelcome

The new time is pending for confirmation

What language will you be speaking in Spanish, French or English.  As unfortunately I can only speak and understand English.  Didn't Skype release an auto translator of video calls.  If so maybe you can set up a cam and mic to offer the talk in a Skype room?

It will be in english, and would be followed in the Live video from Ouishare

Hi,
thanks for the reply. I already emailed support and have not had any reply as yet, so am waiting. Still confused as to how they deem coins as unused when I had them saved?

We don't have 24/7 support yet Wink Mostly during office hours CEST (09:00 to 17:00).
I'll get to it in a few hours Tongue

I've picked up all requests in the email, so you should have mail by now. If you don't please send another message to [email protected]

the getfaircoin.net price has moved from 1 EUR = 23 FAIR to 1 EUR = 20 FAIR

Today the price in bittrex has grow a lot, more than that for the combination of the getfaircoin buying power and very small sell orders.
Still is too much soon to say that this will be consolidated so, we will be pending in order to continue or not, updating the getfaircoin price next days

Otherwise this is a good moment to celebrate the succes of getfaircoin for helping people to acces Faircoin,
from the beginning 4 months ago, the price has grow x10. So Getfaircoin was begun with 1 € = 200 FAIR, and now we have
deleted just one zero :-D  meanwhile the getfaircoin volume is growing every day

Thanks to all the getfaircoin users that has been make it possible.

I imagine that you wasnt staking so much, yes? So your wallet was only open some times, and this amount never was staked from the first day...

Hi,
I updated my wallet to the 1.5.1 maintenance release advised on the Faircoin website as I have not opened or used my wallet since January 2015. I did not sync my wallet up first before doing the update and am thinking maybe this could be the problem?  14000 of my Faircoins have disappeared and all transactions happened on the same day at the same time with all transactions of coins leaving the wallet having "na" instead of an address. so it must be something I have done? I went to roaming file replaced my wallet. dat. file with my saved one and still the same thing? Confused and would love some assistance if anyone knows what I have done.
Thanks in advance for any help or assistance.

Hey, welcome back,  see my reply tuesday to the same question:
