Lets move on. Those who bitching about it being unfair you should go back to history and look at every other alt coins, they suck somewhere on their way, during launch, on mining or while on distribution and still they are doing fine with supportive community. So no point to go for relaunch, manage it well from here and it shud do fine..Those who didnt get any coins yet can be managed with bounty or giveways  Smiley

Don't buy any! as long as the devs clarify properly how they'll handle the problem with the lost coins.

Dev, are you crazy?? this would be the opposite of fair.... Many have not received their coins (including myself).  Who is to say those undistributed coins weren't hoarded???

Please rectify this.  If you don't, it will likely prove to be the death of this coin.

THIS COIN IS NOW FUCKED!

We need to rename it to "UNFAIR COIN"

Hi,
To clarify: we still can't restore the keys. we'll let you know if that changes. but for now, we are moving forward with what we have

REALLY REALLY BAD IDEA!

Start over, with the address database, this will ruin the coin.

After all this "fair coin" or is it not?

What happens to the coins already traded? i.e. how do the people who bought some with btc get their btc back?

True... This is a bit of a pickle

Fuck it i'm just gonna dump as soon as I get the chance and move on to another coin, this one has lost ALL INTEGRITY!

Calm down...sheesh. This coin cost you pretty much next to nothing and you will possibly get SOMETHING back for it.

Damn..

As someone suggested, find a way to make the non distributed coins invalid?

would be the best way for us all to ensure that the coins are ultimately "lost".
Devs,proffs plz

You can write a manual: "How to kill a coin within a week with a minimum effort"

Whatever if it ever gets added to an exchange I will just sell what I have.
But I am definitely not buying any.

Same here, this coin is fucked, it's not fair at all.

You have lost all integrity, I urge you to start with the redistribution again. We don't mind waiting a few more days.

How many agree with me on this one?

actually it's a good idea, less coins in circulation, more buyers more value

We're all good at something, no1's good for nothin
Guys, we have a problem.

After sending out to about 35k, our wallet file became corrupted.
we're trying to recover the keys, but it's both encrypted and corrupted and at this point we have no idea how to recover them, if they are even there
(the keys might not even be there, if the client only flushed a part of the file)
If anybody can help out with that, please do so.

As of right now, the first ~35k addresses (we'll check the exact number soon) have been sent to,
and we can't access the remaining coins
so, this is bacially the same as having distributed to only 35k addresses instead of 50k
and the coin is still Fair, just not the exact way we intended.

We're happy to move forward if we have your support, trying to push it into exchanges, gambling sites, stores etc.
if not, we'll scrap the project and try again with lessons learned.

we also have the option of creating another coin and using the faircoin addresses database to distribute the new coin

what do you say?

Faircoin Team

next time do a dumpprivkey before you encrypt it! I learned that lesson myself....

Ready to be flamed to death then?
Will you release all address used in the process for us to monitor? Will you make an update to invalidate the lost coins?. You really need to say something about that before moving forward...
