Actually, the wallet they released isn't v1.0.1.0 but v1.0.0.0.
We are using the same version number because there isn't any real change but addition of nodes so the wallet remains pretty much the same with v.1.0.0.0.

If this is serious and you are actually planning to develop this project and create an actual release and a community to support you need to be active in the forums, show the roadmap, put the code and the work on Github to show activity.

Here is the current GIT https://github.com/famecoin/famecoin It is forked from https://github.com/maincryptodev and has new DNS seeds. The wallets are identical and you could easily add the:
addnode=45.77.80.117
addnode=45.32.172.67
addnode=185.183.99.171
addnode=185.183.99.19
to your famecoin.conf to replicate the same effect. I think after you see the block explorer RICHLIST, there are six people that have most of the coins, minus the original dev coins. So if I guess, there is a dozen of us that will profit from this ICO, we need to figure out what is in it for the new dev (user453625). I have already contacted my social groups and a revival is near impossible and conversion to a ETH token makes it double trouble. The key is the App that was originally promised, until that app is made, there is token swap, thats it. Without substantial marketing resources by the Dev, we have no chance in hell. Im all for supporting a node until it becomes a Token but what then? Im dumping another $100 into a project that still needs funding for a product and marketing. Bombs away.
For now the network is stable at least.
I'm still discussing the swap and i have suggestions from my dev about Waves being a better option to Eth we haven't concluded yet as this is long term and i also need to be sure it's an option i can handle.
Another thing to is that i've gotten a dev for the mobile app so i believe we are going to get it sooner than planned.
I don't know how the waves integration works but i just hope it all comes out together without giving them much problems.
Had a busy day at work but hope to put some write ups together for the new forum thread and Website. I have already registered a domain for the Website and hope to have it completed soon.
I'll provide update in a couple of hours on which blockchain we settle on.

I am also one of the Famecoin investors and I wish all the best to this project, however I (and many crypto investors) am tired of similar pumps if that is the case. We saw it in many projects, a nice new thread to have some exchange volume and sell all you holding...
If that is the case I wish the price won't move a bit until we see series intent.

Wallets will be released in coming days but you can compile one from the new github repo.Download the QT Windows SDK and install it. You don't need the Symbian stuff, just the desktop Qt.
Download and extract the dependencies archive [1], or compile openssl, boost and dbcxx yourself.
Copy the contents of the folder "deps" to "X:\QtSDK\mingw", replace X:\ with the location where you installed the Qt SDK. Make sure that the contents of "deps\include" end up in the current "include" directory.
Open the .pro file in QT creator and build as normal (ctrl-B)"

The new Website is coming on good and so far the network has been stable. Explorer will also come then we can communicate with Exchange to update their node.

758777 is too far from what i saw as latest when chain was alive (May '17).

I have purchased 2 servers from vultr a couple of days ago and they are being setup.
I'll like to see the explorer also come up so we can see some transparency in these whole procedure ahead of the swap.
I'll provide updates as and when things are sorted out one after the other.
When we finally move to ETH tokens, all these will be behind us and we'll begin to see positive results.
