Summary of our most recent team meeting

FGC Team Meeting: 4/26/2019

The team discussed the two main use cases, FGC Arena and Draft Daily.
First topic, FGC Arena:
-    Review status of final items for International payments and other API development required before the next BETA test
-    Discuss marketing efforts necessary to make a successful BETA test
o    Team decided that a USD pool would need to be created to get big names from the esports community,
o    A need for paid advertising on FB prior to the event; and
o    A request for the community to furnish donations for the USD prize pool and for the necessary marketing efforts
-    Proposed and discussed future vision to bridge the gap between the esports community and blockchain/cryptocurrency.  More details will be made available but the team is working through the solution in their meeting on 5/1/2019
Second topic, Draft Daily:
-    Team is working through solutions to get valuable sports data to avoid using costly data providers
-    Draft Daily 2.0 project is on track for late Summer release
Overall the team is active and development efforts continue in line with the published roadmaps.  There are additional items that are underway and as plans are finalized details of those items will be released.

The pump and dump process is starting to take place. This is interesing since you can buy low en dump high and make some nice money.

Not good news for the coin imho since the pump and dump proces mainly takes place when a coin is dying.

FGC has a real use case and more important... they haven't got a real big competitor.

For example #Travala (travel agency) has also a real use case and is a blockchain replacement for booking.com. They are making big steps in development and price because they're 10-25% cheaper then the giant competitors they have to fight against.

FGC hasn't got a real competitor for what I know. So when FGC Arena goes live and people all over the world want to join and play Fortnight to each other. That could be huge
Why?

Because there are a lot of game nerds who want to play games all day and want to pay almost nothing. Besides playing for almost nothing they also have a chance to win some FGC coins in competition.
If this happens FGC price will jump to old values as we saw in may 2018. So price jumps to 8000 - 18000sat could happen in no time. That would mean you 10x / 20x your investment.

I know I'm going to hop on this FGC train because we're going to make an interesting journey this year

FGC v2.1.1 Update from head dev Nico:

Good morning and happy hump day! So a few things... 1st Silence and I have been working non stop on FGC v2.1.1 in case anyone missed whats going on, we were about to release FGC v2.0 until we were told about the 'Fake Staking' vulnerability, we quickly added the fixes from Bulwark and started another testnet using those fixes, however on yesterday it was brought to our attention that the fix BWK published were not complete and their team was handing the project over to another group of devs. So yesterday afternoon and last night we searched out other coins with an actual confirmed fix. One other issue we are facing along with a few other coins is Zerocoin. Our testnet showed us its not fully ready so v2.1.1 will most likely NOT have Zerocoin activated but we'll see how it goes.
