"Universal GREED" ... most out there hide their intentions in pretty words

hello, you got listed on http://coinok.pw/vote/  - good luck!
Thanks!  Wink

problem with the Windows wallet, my Norton Security block it in very first time.

Please check...
Wallet does not contain virus, source code is posted on the OP. Please check the wallet again with online antivirus tools. If detects no problems - allow this program in Norton. Download wallet from OP link only, never from comments or any other links or web sites. Authorized programs are listed on the OP. www.ferengicoin.org

where can i read the net hashrate?
Not yet available.

http://fer.multi-pool.eu

DDOS protection and PPLNS

Come and mine with us!!!

http://fer.multi-pool.eu
Confirmed. I will post a confirmation on the OP.

Is this http://fer.pitythepool.com/ down now?  Seems like it might still be mining, miner is showing accepted work.

Oh nm, it was my connection acting up.
Pool works perfectly, 100% uptime. This is the first official pool for Ferengicoin.

need more nodes, doesn't sync Sad
Working on it and I offer bounties paid in FER for additional nodes.

wallet won't sync
Working on it and I offer bounties paid in FER for additional nodes.

See for yourself.  Mined over 1.5 million coins already

http://fer.pitythepool.com

FER is going to have TREMENDOUS difficulty adjustment issues within the next couple days.  Blocks are being mined about 100x faster than they should be and your diff algo cannot keep up.  This is what happens with SHA coins in today's world of Terraminers, when your coin's source code is nothing more than a copy of Bitcoin with a few parameters changed.

Current diff is 4096, next will be 16384, next will be 65536 - diff can only go up by 4x per adjustment but it needs to go up by about 100x

Later on, this will lead to hours-long block times because the coin got so far ahead of schedule in the early hours/days of mining.  Diff will continue to go up even while hashrate goes down.

Bookmark this post, I *guarantee* you this will happen within the next 1-2 weeks, maybe sooner.
I agree with you, 400% diff re-target rate that was coded for BTC is not good choice for new SHA-256 coin nowadays, with modern ASICs hashrate. Thank you.

Since I believe my pool is the only one working, I would appreciate if you could list it in the OP:

http://fer.pitythepool.com

Already listed and confimed. Your pool is first Ferengicoin official pool. Thank you. Great job! I owe you 10K FER. Wink

Oh BTW,

Are there any links to voting for getting this pool added to exchanges?
Every exchange has their own voting rules and links. I appreciate your interest and will post exchangers' links for voting within few days. FER bounties offered for finding and posting these links. PM me for details.

Error: To use ferengicoind, you must set a rpcpassword in the configuration file:
./coin.conf
It is recommended you use the following random password:
rpcuser=ferengicoinrpc
rpcpassword=8vHurViyBjyFMqjyxMHmw9Vkb6JvZV3svheYyP4Ucdy7
(you do not need to remember this password)
The username and password MUST NOT be the same.
If the file does not exist, create it with owner-readable-only file permissions.
It is also recommended to set alertnotify so you are notified of problems;
for example: alertnotify=echo %s | mail -s "Ferengicoin Alert" [email protected]

Fail
ferengicoin.conf has user and password information.

So it looks like only 1 pool is running, and after joining I had my miner working, no hash rate no coins no shares.
Pool was around 20
then it looks like it crashes, now only 2 users and I cant even join...Huh
 Undecided
At least 2 pools running now. Check OP with pool links marked "confirmed".

Wallet wont sync sir ?
I am working on adding additional nodes.

what the hell man, we have to dl our wallet from some crapify installer and then it wont unzip? yeah ill pass...
Wallet is functional, download it again, possibly failed connection while downloading and file is incomplete.

WE ARE MINING NOW

Pity the Pool!  FerrengiCoin (FER) Pool

- Solid servers, UPS/generator backups
- Redundant internet
- 1.5% fee
- Dedicated equipment - we own the hardware, we own the data center

http://fer.pitythepool.com

my miner is working but my hasrate/shares/ reward not showing...
been over 10 min... any idea?
I cannot control pool operation, please contact pool operator directly. From my experience with many pool, user statistics is not showing instantly on most pools or miner is pointed to wrong worker. Check your .bat file with pool and worker details and compare to worker name in the pool, it might help.

EVERY coind says that when you first fire it up.  Follow the instructions, create a coin.conf with rpcuser and rpcpassword parameters.

I know how the daemon works. The comment is that the daemon is called bitcoind and the email is for Foo.com meaning this is a foobar clone
