Developer Announcement -- Rollback Update
All we want to let everyone know that we have been working like dogs night and day to try and resolve the issue and properly rollback the blockchain. The rollback has been completed and is currently being tested, PoW has ended and the coin is now pure PoS from the point of the rollback prior to the exploit. Again a huge thanks to everyone in this awesome community for sticking it out through this ordeal, the rollback will happen and the coin will progress forward. Here's a breakdown of the latest update:- The rollback has been implemented and is currently being tested, the rollback so far has been working perfectly and the coin going forward will be pure PoS from the point of the rollback prior to the exploit occurring.
- Unfortunately the coin supply is still over 20 million, this is due to the fact that other smaller amounts of coins were minted, however it is impossible for the coin to be rolled back any further without making it near impossible for the coin to ever be added again to any exchange. Although the coin supply is over 20 million we will be working with the exchanges to freeze the attackers' accounts and remove the exploited coins from circulation. Sadly there is nothing else that can be done, rolling back any further would lead to an inconsistent state and make it nearly impossible for the coin to ever be traded on an exchange again. This we feel is the best solution to the issue and the only way to bring the coin back and move foward.
- There will be another annoucement later today regarding the rollback, we are confident that if the current testing is successful we can announce an exact time and date for the rollback.
Again we would like to thank everyone in the community for their patience, there will be another update once we are certain the rollback is working flawlessly with the transition to pure PoS.-----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE-----
