Hey Chums,

Been mining GRAIN off and on since day one. I've been around the ALT and BTC for a long time, I just never registered at the forums but GRAIN is actually the whole reason I finally decided to lob in. LTC didn't even do that. I've been following since day 1, and kudos to bosian to fixing the issues quickly and keeping everyone happy with giveaways and updates. I missed out on the support give away by not being a forum member, but no matter because I was there right with you guys watching and refreshing. Waiting to see if bosian would come through. Props also to Jollyburner and bee7. Smiley

Well, just letting you devs know I had a bit of a bingle. Just after the POS split, when everything came back online I jumped in and torqued a whole bunch of blocks. Only thing was when I mined them I did it on a copy of the new wallet because the machine that had my GRAIN wallet on it wasn't with me... and... the idiot part is that I overwrote the wallet once I had sent the coins out of the wallet. Never thought I would need that address again. hahaha. Pulled a donger on that. Live and you learn right?

I believe it's everything that went:
93wWUn932xvqZMmv51kRHE6ibrMmMPx3aA

The second address of the other wallet that everything was emptied to is:
96NHs5GSngVA4Nb5fZEygHJusNRXtnvUqM

You can see that in the block explorer.

Just wanted to let you know, if you are running through and sending out missing POS or block awards DON'T send anything to that address.
That wallet is EMPTY (check the block explorer) and it will go into a black hole never to be seen again!

I purchased a bunch of DOGE/GRAIN on coined in an effort to float the prices in an upward direction and then sent them to my wallet so that I could get the POS. It's a GREAT incentive for me to keep them.

Thanks again for building a GREAT coin mate. I have the most faith in this one for the long haul of any the other ones I have mined lately... and I like to hold... not dump.

I am doing solo mining on GRA, and the following addresses belong to me:

952tV5x8oBrtJZ7GTGcLusufubBp4y92LL  received 50k
9Pq9M7uudhPUT2ABioVK85Dzja3hfgX35F recieved 15k
9Rtmx2QcN9Sgv6ogpwBN2XWMMq3m6vgfD7 recieved 10k

I was curious that why someone send me these GRA coins, and then find this post by searching my address.

Thanks for the coin. If there is anything I can do for the GRA community, please just let me know.

Ok, dears.

unfortunately the pool operators did not show any interest, so I implemented the compensation in a way convenient for me. So the additional block rewards will be credited once a day for all past not yet paid matured blocks.

The blocks mined by pools will be paid when pool operators confirm that they will distribute the rewards between miners in a fair way.

Here is the first batch:

All cryptos are FIAT digital currency. Do not use.
I'll take you up on that offer, bosian. It will make up for the 4-6 orphans I lost yesterday.

Thinking that I may have unfairly judged you and Graincoin, I decided to give it another try. As you can see, my second stint was short lived.

Pool owners (udjin123 and oktasama): we found the number of PoW blocks found by the pools as follows:

Quote
     6 PoW blocks:  9StWjUHMHt3FfQXMKxtcDNRr3h26cKQKtQ oktasama's pool
    222 PoW blocks:  97mHyuMsZC3RyU9p3JiX5xyDpYXDZZUFdj udjin123's forkpool
please confirm that you will distribute the complementary coins to miners, also we need you guys to comfirm the addresses, the pool addresses are always not very clear to me, Grin, so need your confirmation what address we should send. Then we will send the complementary coins to you.

For all the rest, the coins will be sent to you by our script soon.

Each PoW block will entitle 3000 GRAs compensation that we will send out soon (within a day or two). And afterwards this will be done automatically by our script on daily basis, until the issue is fixed or we change 12x to 3x for the pow adjustment. This might take up to a month or so. We don't want immediately another fork.

That's right, i haved checked with the block time and pool's block time.
And, i think 3000 is too small,
Because of x12 has stretched, and, it will go to 3x,

Addtional x3 (12/3 - 1) is the fair amount,

1536 * 3= 4608

And, compensate x8/x64 blocks also ? Just kidding,

In fact, i wish to make the difference way,

Make a big events to get more miner instead of free coin,
It will give us more benefit when consider the long term

mkimid, I like your math, and it makes sense.

After discussions we decided to compensate each PoW block by 5000 GRAs. Wink

The Grain Dev Team cares a lot about our miner community and we want you to be happy.

Of course, we can not sustain the support like this for long term. We will release a new version of Grain this weekend or early next week, targeting a switch over by the end of next week. This new release will change max PoW blocktime from 12X to 3X, so hopefully the issue with PoW will permanently be fixed.

Meantime, please help to promote Grain, we will start a promotion campaign after the issues be fixed.

We are in the process of sending out the complimentary coins, stay tuned Wink

Hi Guys.

I want to invest in GRA.
It's worth to invest now?
You think price will go lower than 10 satoshis?
I see good bids.

Any chance to hit cryptsy or another exchange (maybe Chinese?) ?

Difficult to say. I personally think it's still undervalued, and that the price will increase. I think for the price, and given the 5% annual interest earned on your grain, it's a good investment. I bought in at 9 Satoshi each, for 1.6 million GRA. I could sell it now for a small profit, however I'm considering my grain a long-term investment.

I don't see why it couldn't get listed on Crypsty. It seems to meet the criteria.

I was reading the news today and thinking to myself, how to promote GRA as a feasible alternative to BTC.
Instead of promoting BTC or GRA or an individual coin, promote CryptoCurrencies in general to businesses.

But to do that, the businesses would need a wallet to support various currencies. No business would decide to use Cryptosurrencies if they had to have 14 different wallets.

Is it possible to develop a wallet to support more than one cryptocurrency?

WOOHOOO 60k Grain an counting. All from mining Smiley

Not that I have anything against people buying into GRA, I just like the feeling knowing I mined them myself Smiley
And for only having 1 video card hashing at around 160k, I think it's not too shabby.

Have A Nice Day
Today, coin value at CoinedUp

0.00000015 BTC/GRA
0.00000350 LTC/GRA

Daily coin : 15,000 per Mh/s

Daily income : 0.00255BTC or 0.0525LTC

W/ free coin from Dev : 0.00765BTC or 0.1575LTC

If mining LTC, 0.2558LTC

So, income with GRA, is much lower than LTC mining,
But, i believe it will catch up soon ~

Concerning the forkpool HP. May be I totally misread the stats. At the left pane it shows 7.56. Then my math above is completely incorrect. It seems they lost some power recently
Anyway, I prefer to mine solo if it is not a waste of electricity definitely.

As for profit calculations above it is too early to compare the grain with the litecoin IMO. As I noted before the value does not appear from the air. If I start the new coin today, then I make all you mine it for a while and then push it to the cryptsy somehow and nothing else. What will be a rate? Zero.

Is it  undervalued now? Yes, probably is. What all we do if it is two times profitable to mine litecoin? We invest. Will our investment be paid off? It depends on what all of us will be doing. Not only the devs, but all of us.

Unfortunately,
It is the current valuation by the trader now,
Anyway, nobody know the future,
so nobody know how valuation of GRA will be changed in future,
Anyway, I am saying the number which can be found now,

So what if you pay 3k for each block? Last 30 min I hit 4 blocks and 3 of them were orphans... Don't waste your time this coin is DEAD!

Please, send me the rest of your dead coins..

Then please, by all means, go mine something else. If you think Grain is dead, nobody wants you holding any.  Tongue

I hit 1 block in 6 hours. Turned out to be a superblock with 9664 Grain, though. Not too shabby.

Wait so whats happening?

It was decided to compensate the PoW miners for the current 'artificially' lifted up PoW difficulty. So, the Idea is following: for each PoW mined block the dev team pays the additional 3k grain to the miner. With solo miners it is simple. It is a bit complicated with pooled miners. Are you capable to accept not only coinbase tx inputs on your "mining" address but also accept regular tx and distribute it accordingly between your miners?
