The Idea behind this coin is noble however the complexties of operation of this coin gives me a lot of concern!

The overall goal of greencoin is to do exactly that. Honestly, I think it's smarter to stay Scrypt, since ASICs are beginning to become the more "mainstream approach. As a GPU miner myself, it's hard to accept, but that's just how it is.

Sticking by the original goal of GreenCoin - reduce Carbon!

It's your choice of course. Keep in mind though: there's so many scrypt coins now, so you'll have to work extra hard to make your coin stand out from the 100s of other scrypt coins.

I don't mine scrypt anymore either, so I won't mine your coin, but good luck!

Thank you - and we will work hard.  Smiley

So these algorithms are strictly better for GPU miners?

Yes, since there aren't ASICs available for them yet. But also, think of the planet man  Grin !

X13 or NIST5 would be much much better than scrypt. I would mine if it was one of those. This is because scrypt gpu mining takes roughly twice as much power to mine as these newer algorithms. They are just as easy to mine with GPU as scrypt, but since there aren't ASICs for these algos yet, the GPU miners can still find good profit with X13 or NIST5.

I would mine this if it were x11 or x13. Another reason you may want to reconsider the algo is simply the interest you will receive from miners. With summer just around the block, most people would not want to continue mining Scrypt due to power and heat issues. I personally have stopped mining Scrypt completely, even if it is less profitable, just to offset the power consumption and heat generated from GPUs.

Hmmm. This is a good point - something for me to look into. Since we have several days, is there anyone that can give more feedback on this? I've personally only ever GPU mined Scrypt and ASIC mined Bitcoin - X11 and X13 are things we aren't too aware of.

why that huge ammount of coins?

1 satoshi coin spotted...

Probably destined for LTC market... not even in the BTC market.

Scrypt ASIC will also totally destroy this coin.

ASICs will also destroy Bitcoin. The end is near!

But really, I don't understand the logic, since the coin has two valuations - It isn't based strictly on mining, due to the producer side. Can you go into more detail? Appreciate it.  Smiley

I will set up a mining pool for this coin.

Please PM me. We can set this up as we move forward.
