What is the difference between "enabled" and "active" masternodes as shown on http://heliumstats.online/mynodes/mynodes.php

Do "enabled" but not "active" nodes earn block rewards?

They'll change status from active to enabled once they get paid. Hope you managed to get everything working.

Yes I did. Quite an easy and straight forward setup actually other than the exact 1,000 amount issue. It was super easy even without the setup script. A+ for user-friendliness.  Probably it would be good to specifically mention if the amount is not exactly 1,000 it won't work in the setup guide.

Do you believe the send EXACTLY 1000 coins to the mn address instruction does not cover it or is unclear?

It should warn users it won't work if you send extra. In my case I sent extra because I believed the fees would be deducted leaving the masternode with 999.99xx.  There is hardly a standard functionality across all cryptocurrencies for how fees are dealt with, how they're calculated, etc.

Can be a bit confusing perhaps. On the other hand all guides do tell you to send 1000 exactly. I might add the below to the instructions:

Now that it is on Cryptopia and MNO.

We have a discord too at: https://discordapp.com/invite/SfzUAvU.

We had a vote to move over the whole community some months ago. We're DAO enough for that to never happen but meanwhile feel free to join us on Discord: https://discordapp.com/invite/SfzUAvU

We did a little crowdfunding round in the Slack channel to come up with the 0.2 BTC for a masternodes.online listing and thanks the communities' generous donations Helium is now listed at masternodes.online : https://masternodes.online/currencies/HLM/ . You can use the service to monitor your Masternodes or you can just use it to see how cool we look compared to the rest. Special thanks to the Masternodes Online Dev team and @cryptosandwich for finishing our listing in a matter of hours.

To be clear, from my time following the Spread and now Helium threads and all the dedicated folks who have
contributed, I have no doubt the OP pics are the real team. I didn’t mean for my previous post to insinuate otherwise, albeit in
hindsight, it does give the impression that I’m a little suspicious, which is not the case at all.
np, understood. Nevertheless, your observation remains pertinent (this is altcoinland after all) and I considered it worth clarifying.

Cheers

Have to admit,I got a little chuckle outta that exchange...

Anyway, jsyk, will attempt the masternode thing again after few weeks of staking.
Probably a vps issue and couldn’t be bothered to set one up.

I am still confused as to why it should fail if you send a few extra HLM.

What are you trying to do and/or what errors are you having?

I was trying to setup a masternode and i sent a few more than 1,000 HLM to the masternode address. It didn't work and generated an error (detailed in my original post).  In fact it does work if you send EXACTLY 1,000, not more and not less. Can understand why it should fail if you put extra collateral but it does.

To get tx output you have to send exact amount in one transaction, otherwise you don't get the result. It's just a way all masternodes work, so you have to follow the guidelines.

Could be there is an issue with the Slack invite link (I'm getting the same error): you can use this: https://join.slack.com/t/onetrollbox/shared_invite/enQtNDUyMDg5NzM1MzUxLTVlOTk4YTllZGU0ZmFiZWYyMTgxZWQwOGIwZmZmM2YxYjY2ZTk2YzI1MzI0Y2Y0NDdiODBhYTVjMjkzMzFjYjI

No need to calculate the fee, the client will do it for you. If you send 1000 HLM the client will add the fee on top automatically.

Thanks for the link.  How can I unlock the tokens and make them available to send from the old masternode address to the new one?

Thanks.

You have to enable coin control features. On helium wallet --> Settings --> Options --> Wallet Tab --> Check enable coin control features --> restart wallet.
Then go to Send Tab --> Click on open coin control --> Unlock your coins or do whatever

I don't have any such options in settings, I only have:

Encrypt wallet...
Change passphrase...
BIP38 Tool
MultiSend

There is nothing that says "options" under any of the top level drop down menus.
Wallet version 0.15.2
Please, at least try with eyes open

My version 0.15.2 calls this PREFERENCES, at the same time I have a top level menu called "settings" also that does not have those items.

Screen shots best viewed with "eyes open":

This option was found under preferences -> wallet.
