Ok, I consulted with Ace_Of_Fades and we have decided to suspend the logo competition.  We are going to be keeping the original logo.  I think we both always liked the original logo, but didn't say anything because when you do a takeover, a new logo just seems like the thing to do.  The original logo is very clean, simple, and professional looking.  You are all appreciated for submitting new logos and putting in the effort to come up with something new, but the original logo will be retaining it's place.

We have decided that we will be running a signature/avatar campaign to promote the coin, so we are opening a new 10,000 pound bounty to design a signature for use in the campaign.  It will be added to the ANN shortly.


I want to give a special shout out to draddog8 here.  I could tell you were really trying hard here and were responsive to feedback.  Even though the logo competition has been suspended, I thought you deserved a consolation prize for your efforts so I sent ya a little something.   


It's still a weed coin.  If I understand Ace_Of_Fades correctly, his minecraft servers (and it's underlying economy) are going to be themed around weed and buying/selling of drugs.  It will always be a weed/drug coin, his minecraft servers will just be the first use case for the coin.

If Trapcoin moves away from the initial cannabis relation to a minecraft coin, why would you put a cannabis leaf on the logo?

so I changed it but the font itself isn't a font type with a lot of coloring this was just changing the font color.

maybe there busy with adding a bunch of new coins.

I really like this one! It looks good as a thumbnail/icon and it displays the theme of the server! I only have two requests. Would you be able to make the font the same color as the purple background? And remove the word "coin" so it only says "trap". Other than that I think we might have a winner!

I submitted the coin to yobit last Thursday as a premium listing. Yobit states it should only take two business days which has already past. I'm getting ahold of yobit at the moment to see what's going on. TRAP should be listed any time now.

Since it's a coin about virtual drug deals, I think you might be on the right track with the one where the two hands are swapping cash for a baggie.  Maybe swap the green out for a dark purple background in the inner circle behind the hands, for contrast.  Change the font and make it bigger so the name of the coin stands out more.  Lighten the rest of the green on the coin, darken the green in the name of the coin.  Again, for more contrast.

Wait for Ace_Of_Fades to come back and check them out though before you spend too much time on this.  Like I said, I haven't discussed the logo with him and am not sure if he had anything specific in mind.  Don't wanna make a unilateral decision here.

Last one, I promise then I am done. If you want me to change the image give me a link to the image you want me to add and I can change it out. This is just to change the color to match the wallet as you asked.

O if you do want me to change it to another image, it has to have a solid background color so I can pull it without including the background.

Tbh, I hadn't thought about the logo too much and haven't discussed it with Ace_Of_Fades.  I'm kinda envisioning a blocky pot leaf, like how a pot leaf would look in minecraft or something, but I get the feeling that is just gonna look like an ugly mess no matter what and no one will be able to recognize what it is supposed to be.

Might wanna await further guidance from Ace_Of_Fades.  I'm not sure if he had anything specific in mind.

Nice to see more people getting involved here.  Really appreciate the effort guys, even if your logo isn't selected as the winner.

BONUS BOUNTY

First person to produce a logo featuring a Transsexual Minecraft character hitting a bong/blunt/joint/whatever, gets 1,000 pounds from me.

It (probably) won't be selected as the final winner of the contest, this is more for shits and giggles.  I just wanna see what you logo monkeys can produce  , and find another reason to give away more coins  .

This is a great idea! I hope it does well. My kids love Minecraft.

I don't know who shit in your cornflakes, but I'm doing my best. I do not plan on ever leaving this coin. I have alot of stuff on my plate at the moment you would know nothing about. So yes, I went camping, I needed it. Now I can continue to work on the TrapCoin project. Unless you have some valuable input, you should probably just leave this coin and stay there. On the other hand, thanks for the tip. I'll be adding a roadmap as soon as possible.

I absolutely love all the effort you guys are putting in but the coins are too basic. The letter T or the word Trap isn't enough. There needs to be a logo or something to symbolize the coin. xtoff, you're heading in the right direction with the bear trap in the background but it doesn't quite symbolize the theme of the minecraft server. I have increased the bounty for the logo to 20,000 Pounds! That's enough to start staking nicely. I myself will personally pay the bounty as soon as I see something I like.
