Loopring AMA Series: Vesper Finance
Loopring team happy to present the 2nd edition of our new AMA Series, where we take a look into some our new and ongoing Partners who have helped us bootstrap the Loopring Layer 2 ecosystem.
The following is an AMA with the Vesper Finance team — conducted over a week on Reddit, with questions sourced from both Reddit +Discord.
Vesper provides a suite of yield-generating products, focused on accessibility, optimization, and longevity.
You may have already noticed Vesper (VSP) as part of our Liquidity Mining programs in the AMM + orderbooks. These programs will be ongoing and a way of distributing their token to a wider audience!

This is one of the first DEXs out there, but curious here, since deploying your DEX, have you reached your target trading volume? To be honest, I am not very familiar with this DEX. Do you really have low gas fees as compared to UNI and other top DEXs? But the limited trading pair may be one of the hindrances that traders are utilizing this exchange.

LRC Tokenomics v2
- Loopring protocol fees come from transaction volume (economic activities) on Loopring Layer-2 (L2) and are also distributed on L2.
- The initial protocol fee parameter will be set to 20% of the L2 transaction fee. With the current relayer settings, this means 2 bps (0.02%) for AMM swaps,
between 0.8 bps to 4.6 bps (0.008% to 0.046%) for orderbook trades, and $0.01 for transfers.
- Protocol fees are paid to 3 types of participants: a) liquidity providers, b) insurers, c) Loopring DAO, in an 80/10/10 proportion, respectively.
- Protocol fees accrued in tokens other than LRC and ETH will be sold on L2 for LRC and/or ETH; all protocol fees are distributed in LRC and/or ETH.
- Protocol fees will be paid on a monthly basis.
- Changes to parameters in the future will go through a forthcoming Loopring DAO.

This month loopring team primarily focused on the contract upgrades and audit of Loopring Smart Wallet 1.1, and the development and testing of Loopring Protocol 3.6. Related research and development are progressing smoothly. then, in August the focus from loopring team is the security audit of protocol 3.6 and the optimization of the mobilewallet app.

With more collaboration with other companies and bi-weekly updates shared on this thread, no wonder this token has not declined a lot for the past 6 months, maintaining the $0.02 level? But getting back to at least $0.1 is still a long way to go for this token. As btc is recovering and with other alts increasing its value, I guess this one is not hard to achieve the $0.1-level again.
