The first statement you made is not true. The application (both Android and Apple) will be released within the next two weeks. Your last statement is also not true since the TGE still needs to be announced with all its details.

I'm not sure if I fully understand your question, but DataWallet is not something like a VPN. DataWallet gives you a save way of storing personal data, that you can sell to parties who may be interested in that data. DataWallet itself doesn't 'shield' you like a VPN can. That is a whole other topic.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'rewards from brands', but if for example a particular brand would like to use your data, they would have to compensate you with DXT. However, there is also a possibility that you provide your data to other third-parties to augment your experiences and interaction with their products or services. You would also be able to buy data products from developers that for example would give you introspective insight in you as a person (using your provided data).
