Datum is going into healthcare? That is funny, I remember discussing medical data in this thread. Well Datum, good luck with that, you have just opened Pandora's Box.

Where did you find something about healthcare ?

I bought that non-disclosure information from the Datum developer's private account on the Datum platform Wink

Really? Nothing heard of it before. Healthcare is a difficult thing, since there are not so many competitors on the market, who could be interested in your data (excluding normal companies who are selling medics and so on, these I count under "normal market") my first thought was insurances.

I quoted once in this topic relating Datum to health, but with the best use possible, Companies from different countries already use data from other doctors, mainly for health plan offerings with annoying telemarketing, and to block access to People try to circumvent the legislation. Datum has room on this health platform, but needs to be limited to plans, pensions and related issues

I think there will no problem with that as every user has options about his personal data on whom they will choose to have access to it.

Yes but this is a really delicate topic and in the end linked to a lot of possible situations.

There are already people who send their DNA for analysis to Google (okay the company is called 23andme, founded by the ex-wife of Google co-founder) and pay for that service. I am sure when you offer enough money, you'll find a lot of people who willingly sell their medical data.
Selling DNA could be risky but profitable. It all depends on your needs and risk awareness

Would you sell your data even under the assumption it is already out there?
data can be sold completely anonymously or with various levels of context and identity attached

sounds interesting, but before join in, I will wait for the more details .hopefully it can run well and good luck for Datum

Explained in our whitepaper, page 8.

https://datum.org/assets/Datum-WhitePaper.pdf

Quote:
Each piece of data in the Datum network is marked with usage terms during the encryption. This way the user (the source of the data) can control in what way their data is to be shared and used by others. The usage terms are controlled by the DAT token smart contract.
Users have full control over whom to share data with and can fine tune their privacy settings:

1. Share disabled
2. Share with specific, identified and known data consumers
3. Share with specific, identified and known data consumers for a minimum fee
4. Share with everyone
5. Share with everyone for a minimum fee

Strangely, I saw in the demo only three levels of adjustments. And you have five. Or I did not find where it is? I looked in the settings. Maybe five will be in the final version, but only three in the demo?

I recently heard about another fork, bitcoin silver https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-silver-make-bitcoin-decentralized-again-2311582

Will this have an effect on DATUM ICO?

hopefully not. all these forks are giving me a headache

Bitcoin silver looking like fake but who knows.

Besides, there is already an upcoming fork on November. Segwit2x is on the way.

Im sorry guys, but apparently there is also platinum fork. https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-platinum-the-true-decentralized-bitcoin-fair-pow-multi-algo-2315443
Anyone knows if this wil have an effect on DATUM ICO ?
I still havent researched it yet, it will have an effect on all coins in cryptomarket.

Too much presale discounts will be bad for main sale investors.

Look at the other projects. In many of them it worked like that, and it worked good!!

What are you talking about? In which cases presale discounts have worked good for main sale investors?

I know of none, honestly. Doesn't matter really, hodl the coins you have and buy the dips when they come, no doubt in my mind datum will drop at least 40% after the listing but that'll be a great place to buy, I can easily see this coin reach 1$ in 1 year

It depends on your investment horizon. If you flip every ICO, sure, discounts are bad, but if you are in in for the long run the initial dip doesn't matter.
Well said my friend. If you choose your investments wisely then in the long run you will be able to make some nice profits Wink

I also didn't find information about healthcare, don't enter that market because there already exist strong projects and competition between them.

is there any permission structure for only allow to share with specific users? how is protected to prevent scammer not getting data as middle man?

One partnership with civic could be great to verify people identities.
Civic would be a great addition to Datum platform. This kind of partnership would be a great incentive for investors Wink
When will CIVIC have a working product? I think it has a great future and it would be great if both will do a partnership.
Civic already has a working product and has already been applied at the time of ICO. It's a really great partnership.

Uploading data on the blockchain will ensure data retention across the decentralised network of nodes. All of this is encrypted using AES256-GCM with 256-bit key size for every 128-bit block, ensuring data integrity.
