I am impressed by the fact that the OP doesn't mention at all what the project is all about. It only lists a lot of known problems and a lot of appealing biographies of the people who supposedly arevthe team. And then the people are commenting: good project! But which project?

LOL i'm pretty sure what happened is the guy didn't wait for the picture to load, when i first opened the site i too thought it was a 3 line OP, but after you wait 30 second the big images load, it's the draw back of doing the nice pretty opening posts with images, some people don't wait for the pictures to load especially when bitcointalk is being slow as sh*t
, so with that in place, it gave me some sort of confidence to actually invest in the project, as what matters most in a project is the team
