More efficient yes, in terms of resources needed and saved by people living shorter lives but I would like to see the marketing campaign for this kind of project.

Overpopulation can make things worse.

You can't say that overpopulation won't be a problem, it's already a problem in parts of the world.

It's not a problem just in parts of the world, it is an global problem. Last year we reached the limit for natural resource use already in end of July/beginning of August, so we lived on credit the later half of 2017. I would say, this is a major problem which gets worser with every year.

I am not so sure about this. Aging is a process which probably depends on the telomeres.
If we could interfere in this process, we could be much older.
