Most likely answered a hundred billion times before, can you mine on multiple devices using the same login details?

No, but you can do a few devices on the same IP before they limit you.

I see the Monero Trolls got their panties in a bunch.

We are on the same side goofs

We are going after mobile mining, and mass adoption. Gaming and Gambling.

So you guys can chill, you guys have the privacy market on lock, and are very successful now. It hasnt been THAT recent, did you not get the memo of your success?

Actually, the adjustments that one of your devs is making, will problably be bringing those tweaks back your way. Why wouldnt he. You guys hit the big time. Stop acting so scared. Monero is doing great!!

You dont have to troll imaginary competitors???

WTF!!

So there was no existing fork or blockchain? They are making it only now?
..

If you would read their statement.

They had BOTH made for awhile.

Then, they brought in a CORE Monero Dev to make some modifications, and do testing afterward.

Well forking Bytecoin was plain stupid. And at moment that was announced I said it in this thread. Just check first pages.

""Maintenance and future proofing. Monero is WAYYYYYYYY more developed and maintained than Bytecoin. Bytecoin has had 88 commits to it’s core code since 2014. Monero has had 4795 commits!""

But people still showered this genius with $40 millions.

I expected the same as you did

One thing is important here:

"The good news is that once Electroneum started to raise money and our profile was raised, we managed to recruit a core member of the Monero team, to work on developing an Electroneum fork of Monero. He wants to remain anonymous at this stage"

Here they used words and turned them around and even fooled me that monitor Monero for more then 3 years. They used words  "core member of the Monero team". Monero have core team of 6 members.  Elecroneum scammers did not used this term, but term core members to fool everyone that one of Monero core team members will help them.  Monero have few 100 contributors, because it is an innovation and not even $1 was needed to start it. Not $40 millions.

Please be careful about anything you read that they wrote. It seems they are professional and doing this scams.

What are you talking about? Seriously. You quoted them, and them were like, "see, professional scammers"

No, I dont see that.

Where? Where did you get that??

So y'all gave $40m to some guys who don't even know how crypto works!

Excellent! I'll get some popcorn.

before eating the popcorns , can you please tell where you see that part that "they dont know how crypto works"?
thanx

Sure thing! It would be this part:

"It came to our attention while we were stress testing that with a zero fee there was nothing to stop malicious users from automating scripts that just transfer a balance between wallet addresses as fast as they can – indefinitely. This would clog (flood) the blockchain with useless transactions."

You'd think people who knew about crypto would know this, whereas these guys clearly don't.

Switching the entire codebase 3 days before launch does seem a little late.

But that's ok, they're quick learners! I'm sure everything will be fine, nothing to worry about!

As long as they know how to populate the genesis block with everyone's balance...   Grin

If they are forking an existing Monero desktop client, all they really need to do is change a few params, swap out images/icons and run a string replace.

Once again, I congratulate the company! Wink You were able to reach the hard cap so quickly.
I'm waiting for November 1st. Soon mobile cryptocurrency will be available!

What was the hard cap and how quickly were all tokens sold out?

The hard cap was 40M or 6.3B tokens sold. We hit the 40M mark due to price changes in BTC and ETH. We hit the market cap 2 weeks before the end of the ICO or 1 month after the launch of the ICO. What surprises me is that they only expected around 10,000 people to contribute. They managed to get 120,000 people to contribute, plus another 180,000 who signed up to check out Electroneum. By far the biggest ICO in terms of participants.

Jesus, those are really some impressive facts and that speaks volumes in favor of the project. It's probably almost a must to keep an eye on this.

My friend, you must know by now that the price of a coin is not only related to the technical superiority, if that was the case, Bitcoin wouldn't be number one right now, not even top 10, with it's horribly slow transactions and crazy high fees. The price of the coin is directly proportional to how many people know about it, plain and simple.

And by combining the tried-and-tested Monero code base with high publicity, we've got a winner imo.

This is indeed another big move by Electroneum team by giving preference to Monero over Bytecoin. Monero's code is tested and reliable for years. This shifting will have its own strategical and economical effects on the project as whole. I expect juts good thing happening ahead now. They are playing very wisely and timely with decisions.
