The fact that they're  honoring the 40% is amazing, that's the sort of thing that lets you know this isn't a scam. It's a legitimate project, most token sales wouldn't do such a thing for their users.

Very professional!

Blockchain will be release in Novemder 1-st? When will be release mobile app for mining?

App is already released in Android and iOS is finished and Apple already checked it out and we are at the final approval stage.

All we need now is to show we have volume on an exchange, and it will be approved.

We come out of the gate with Cyyptopia, Yobit, Evercoin at launch Nov 1 and Bittrex in Nov

Where i can test android app?

You can apply for beta test here: http://electroneumtalk.proboards.com/thread/19/beta-test-request

You sure about Bittrex? They didnt accept any tokens from summer. You have any arragements with them about listing?

You can go to the Electroneum and request to be in the testing group

I'm very interested in this project and I will buy some tokens today or tomorrow.
I can not find on your web page the information on how it will be able to mine ETN, can you send me a link?
Thanks

Thank you!

Lets say that average new smartphone has around 3000mAh battery. Have they allready tested battery consumption for lets say 10 hours of mining? Also, there will be a problem when you are connected to wifi and you power charger, there might be some overheating of your device.

The mobile mining checks your phone and sees how much processing power you would have if your phone were to try and actually mine the blocks at that time.

The amount of stress put on your phone is similar to that on your phone loading a wikipedia page.

It doesnt run out the battery or "make your phone hot"

i don't this project will work ..

It worked on the test group.

Check out the Dev Richard Ells.

Google him and his team and you may see things alittle differently

mobile mining? what's the algorithm

THERE IS NO MOBILE MINING!!
therefore what they so call TWIN ALGO is just a BS!!

read the thread below carefully for dev-team not even dare to show up to tell you all the truth!

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.22078268

My understanding is it simulates mining. So therefore no resources used on your phone. They just look at the specs of your phone and you get tokens based on that. It is essentially still mining, just a simulation of it. As long as you get tokens for using it that is what mattters. Better to mine like this than melt your phone.

The actual mining will be on PC’s.

Is this actually correct? Just asking. But if it is correct, then it would be much more convinced of the system really being sustainable.

Yes it is correct.

A question about 'mobile mining':

I understand from the whitepaper that it is just a simulated mining and I imagine that the coins you get for your 'mobile mining' have to come from
(A) a pool of pre-mined coins or
(B) someone has to mine them with 'real mining' (as in generation of new blocks and adding them to the chain) and distribute them to the mobile miners.
Is it A or B?

In case of A, is it the pool of unsold coins "bonus pool" in the whitepaper? What happens if you sell all of the pre-mined coins in the ICO?

In case of B: Who is doing that job? For how long ...

Neither A or B

The mobile miners are still mining coins.

It's not just premining a bunch of coins and handing them out to the mobile miners via the game. There is a twin algo with a centralized processor that allows them to mine mobile without burning up their phone.

The bonus pool you are asking about amoumts to only 20 million  put aside for bounties out of 6 billion coins in the ICO, and amounts to less than .00095% of all coins. There is zero premine for the devs.

Contraband which is it? Are you mobile mining or just simulating? Where do the coins come from if its just a simulation?

It is in the technical white paper, and I posted the section from it a few pages back.

They call it a mining experience because your phone isnt powering the blockchain, or it would heat up, drain the battery, and cause it to age very fast. But NONE of those things happen here.

Simulation is not the word I would use only because everyone associates it with fake. The plane simulation, for example, you are not really in the air, or a police training simulation they may be firing "blanks".

Simulation is a good word because it does describe what really is occuring, but in THIS "simulation" you are still 30,000 feet in the air, and the bullets in the police training are real bullets, just as you are getting REAL cryptocurrency and not pretending you are.

The app is rewarded coins for running the twin algorithm, which means it gets allocated a certain number of coins, determined on how much power the phone can allocate to the mobile mining experience. That means, less apps running, a larger return from it.

Afaik, the blockchain generates a small tax allocating it to the mobile mining expeirence, which gets bumped up by the pool of unsold coins, to further incentivize people to run it.

Cryptographic money will be the bedrock in time.
A recent study showed that about 38% of people between the ages of 18 and 24 were planning on investing in bitcoin.

https://lendedu.com/blog/bitcoins-role-in-the-american-economy

Electroneum is addressing the #1 reason this demographic is not currently invested: barrier to entry. Any of us involved in this movement that have told our friends and family about this know that people are fascinated and interested but lack the savvy to truly participate. There is huge "understanding-of-math-privilege" when it comes to crypto. A ton of people want in but just don't know how or are too intimidated. I know scores of these people.

By virtue of even being on this forum you all are part of an elite group of individuals that simply understand the computer science or even just the inarguable numbers behind cryptocurrency. Electroneum is truly the first to break open this barrier to entry. I know about 12-14 people personally that are going to download the app on November 1st just because it is simple enough for them to handle at that point. These are people that would love to buy into this ICO RIGHT NOW, but as I said, it's just too complicated for them. It's out of reach.  November 1st is going to change all that.

I see Electroneum as interesting project, but I dont understand exactly if this is realy mobile mining coin. What I understand from here about Electroneum mining: mining work only with PC and mobile users receive rewards for use Electroneum app wich runs games (not for mining). If this is not real, I want a clear explanation from devs. Thanks.

Mining the blockchain is for the desktop miner. The allocated Electroneum pool will reward users for running the app in the background, allocating coins when they run the Mobile mining experience. They are not adding blocks on the blockchain. You can play a game on your smartphone to slightly increase the coin allocation from running the app, which in turn educates you on blockchain-mining and enables you to turn on your computer, and actually mine the blockchain.

If Electroneum team say this is first mobile mining coin and this is just a joke I have some seriouse doubts in their project. When they use mobile users to use app for marketing purpose and offer coins as rewards this is not mobile mining experience.

It is a mining-experience, you experience how it feels to mine, but you don't do it per se. That is what it means. Nobody says this is the first mobile mining coin, and have never done at all; many have tried and failed. But this is the first that neglects the bad things about previous miners by doing things differently. And with this aimed at the non-initiated public, they don't want to setup complicated or damaging software on their phones just to mine. They made it easy. It is an experience, not a miner.

Well it's a pity the mobile "mining" isn't real. I think with current processing power on smartphones they could made an algo to use it for a real blockchain purpose, something like PoS comes to mind (how much power is needed for transactions confirmations?). On the other hand even this mining simulation game will add value and bring more users, so I guess it will serve for the mass adoption anyway.
