I also have been watching this project for few days. Those news above are awesome and no doubt that the project has extremely high potential to become successful quickly. Currently it is available with 40% bonus I will try to catch this offer as still more than 2 days are to secure the bonus offer. I am interested to put some contribution in investment as well.

Thanks for the support jtalk!!!

Does electroneum already have an iOS/android app developed that is capable of mining? Mobile crypto is definitely the next logical step for this ecosystem, so hopefully these guys can pull it off.

Yes, both are developed and the Android version is already on the Google Playstore and iOS is finished as well but wont be available until Apple approves it after the launch and they see volume on exchanges. We are already confirmed to be on Cryptopia and Yobit and are talking with Bittrex and others as well.

The only thing still being touched up is the in App game that people can choose to play if they like and get bonus coins.

Can anyone share how widely adopted is CPU mining vs GPU mining.
Pros and cons?

How efficient are average modern CPU going to be in the blockchain?
Im not an expert on this, but I know hardware makers like Nvidia make all these hardware specicially for mining and if hardware makers dont make CPU mining hardware or as widely, it could be hard to reach the scale of bitcoin or ethereum for example.

If we rely on the average joe to run a windows miner, i think itll be hard to get such people to do it initially because of fear of degrading their hardware.
Basically how common are they?

Anyway should be putting an additional couple thousand in this 40% bonus round Cheesy

Monero is a cpu/gpu coin.

It is in the top ten of all coins with a marketcap of 1.3 Billion.

Electeoneum uses a modified version of the same cryptonote algo that Monero uses, so the transactions are anonymous as well.

The windows/mac/linux miner that you can download and use on Nov 1st when the blockchain goes live is totally safe.

Very interested in the coin and reading up more on it. One question:

If this coin can be mined with CPU, is there a risk that hackers would be incentivized to take over computers of unsuspecting people to mine electroneum?

Its important to note that if a hacker is going to use your computer as a miner, they would most likely do it in small amounts, to many computers, and the hacker program snuck into your computer would include a cpu/gpu miner.

In other words, yes hackers do this, on a mass scale to millions of home computers everyday, to people that have nothing to do with cryptocurrency. You deciding to become a miner yourself will have nothing to do with it.

Its not like, now that you have a miner on your computer, so now they will see you as a better target. Thats not how it works.

Actually, becoming a miner might actually help you detect someone else using your machine to mine because you will be more familar with it.

For instance, pull up your task manager, and see what programs are running. Is one of them a mining program a hacker installed?

Can you tell?

An experienced miner could.

So, actually becoming a miner yourself would most likey reduce the risk of your computer mining for some hacker without your knowledge due to you increased knowledge.

Or, you could join some other coin that is a scam and they could take some of your mining power for themselves.

So, no becoming a miner yourself doesnt incentivize a hacker.

You should always use 15 character random passwords that have upper and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters. Also, educate yourself on proper security to employ when using public wifi.

Electeoneum is as safe and secure as you are going to get. Mining ETN does not put you in ANY increased risk.

Should I pay attention to something special when I send BTC from my Exodus wallet?

It is just like send the amount to the address given at https://my.electroneum.com/ and then confirm the transaction?

Thanks!

Yes, correct

First 30 min

40 BTC
744 ETH

$360,000 processed + direct wire transfers

Exciting start!!!

I knew this coin would do good!!

not necessarily a good sign for the investors, the estimated value of this project maybe very high at the end of ICO period, meaning there would be less room for value growth in future

These are outdated numbers

I see you havent watched the video

Believe the last thing we need to worry about is raising too much money for this dev team

On pace for 10 to 15 million raised.

Many are having miscalculations on valuation due to failing to factor in unsold coins going back in to be mined.

These are the current numbers

15,783 Investors
316 BTC Raised
5184 ETH Raised

Maybe in a way but I still find it difficult to see success of the token sale in a negative light.

That 30 minute interview of Richard Ells renewed my confidence in this project, he sounded genuine and intelligent. The only other spoken samples I had from him was his social networking speech and the 8 minute blurb which were all well and good in their own right but couldn't possibly accomplish what this new interview did.

Hello,
the 21st September i sent my ETH deposit to the address 0xCA3633109d33503B12Cc6f7A9bF859a98f533De3
but it is still pending on my Electroneum Dashboard and i've not received my ETN.

Why ?

---
Requested Transaction
Your Ethereum transaction of 0.0208 ETH made on Thursday 21 September 2017 is currently pending
--

On Etherscan it shows that address has the ETH in it.

Have you pushed the "Transfer confirmed" button on the Electroneum website?

Yes i did.

And a friend of mine had the same issue, he deposited the same amount as me the same day to 0xf8E2912F81013da5A0c9E16550A413e12bcda221
but until yesterday his ETN deposit was still Pending.
Now i don't know if it's confirmed but i'll ask.

Please can you confirm manually?
In the Requested Transactions section there is not even a button to confirm that myself.

P.S. The only thing that comes to my mind is... we have purchased the ETH from Bitstamp and sent them from there directly to your ETH addresses.
Was that bad ? Is that the reason why your system did not detect the transaction ?

Actually in Bitstamp there was a warning that suggests it's better not to send coins to ICO addresses. But without an explanation why.
I wonder how an "ICO" address is different than any normal address after all ??

You must go back to to the Electromeum website and hit "transfer confirmed"

Just like this guy did around the 13:00 minute mark

I did it once and i have done it again now.

I have chosen to buy Electroneum with 0.0208 ETH ( screenshot https://1drv.ms/i/s!Ao4pRXNsgcpfi0aTz_xG7tQe0t2K )

After i clicked on Buy Electroneum With Ethereum i have clicked on the Transfer Confirmed button and then the site showed me this:   https://1drv.ms/i/s!Ao4pRXNsgcpfi0Up4TaeCYUCWVou

Didn't work.... Sad

Contact the zendesk

No need to panic the ETH is sitting in the ethereum wallet made for when you registered.

Etherscan shows its there like I said.

Now they just need to get it to show up on the website

Zendesk is there to help you.

If they dont have it fixed in 48 hours, send me a PM here.

The ETH made it there according to etherscan. Im not sure whats up, but its working fine for everyone else.

Everything will be ok, dont worry.
