We know electroeum needs to be accessible to people mining on mobile phones. We all know the result so far, its horrible. They have figured out a way to do this by having a specialized algo and a processor. The people mining with their computers cpu on the main algo will be powering the blockchain. This means it is still decentrailzed.
Some people may complain that it has a centralized componet to the mobile miners, but it doesnt bother me. Im here with what I see as cryptos first chance to really be taken to the masses. We see they have the tech innovation necessary to come thru on their claims to take mining a cryptocurrency to 2 billion users of mobile devices.
It also cant be cloned as easily, or the innovation stolen with it needing a central processor as well.
They are powerhouse marketers, and now that these guys have added gaming to it as well, they will easily penetrate the market with this.
You can say its not decentralized enough for you, but I think someone would be hard pressed to say this is going to lose you money buying in at $.007
With the app downloads reaching just 5 million users, which is low in that industry, it would have far above the amount of users as Bitcoin. This you bought for $.0067 and Bitcoin is valued at $3950. There will be many LEVELS of those buying and selling as the price establishes itself, which call me crazy, but with:
A. An innovativation in cryptocurrency by being first to sucessfully take effectiive mining mobile.
B. Have the product finished at the time of crowdsale
C. Have top of the line, ultra rich, real world marketers behind it.
these things make it pretty hard NOT to go up.

Maybe I should have put a smiley on the waves post because it was sarcasm. I thought that was clear since I said a price that was like 3x what the current price was at the time and the timeline was only a couple weeks ago. I was mocking all the people who post similar tripe. I don't even currently hold any waves although I did some months ago. Edit - Actually looking at what I posted (105k sats) and going back to look at the price when I posted that, I said a price that was almost the exact price (104k sats) at the time. I meant to post something that was clearly outrageous, obviously I failed in my sarcastic reply.
I know you won't care but this is indeed my one and only account, not a troll account. Just because I've educated myself doesn't mean I can't be a "newbie". I read about crypto for years before finally getting involved. I post the things I do because it's frustrating seeing people get taken advantage of or be stupid with their money. (I'm not saying investing in Electroneum is stupid) Everyone is so concerned with just making a quick buck that nobody takes the time to understand projects and why they should be supported. As long as it'll go 10x who cares, right? I'm in crypto for the long haul. I don't care about short pumps that'll net me some quick money. That's why I try to figure things out.
If you would compare the things I've posted here and the things I've posted elsewhere you will see my posting style isn't the same. I'm not being sarcastic or an asshole in this thread. I haven't posted in a single Electroneum thread besides this one even though there are tons of threads in the Altcoin section if all I wanted to do was bash the coin. I'm asking legitimate questions I would like real answers for and if I get good ones then I will invest. Responses like the one MrPuffnStuff posted are far more likely to get me involved than trying to call me out as something I'm not.
I guess I shouldn't expect (most) people who already invested and that get paid to post about electroneum to try and give me any rational arguments though.

As for one individual holding enough influence to manipulate a single coin, YES, it's possible. Go look at some of the coins he has posted about and compare the rises in the coins compared with the timestamps of the start of the threads. It's no coincidence, they just happen to start rising at the same time. When people think they are going to get rich because he made some "good" calls in the past and they see he is legendary they are going to all pile in like stupid noobs. Look at the people buying after he posts, like most of this forum, it's full of brain dead idiots. People post in his threads all the time, it's been 2 days, why hasn't this gone up a lot yet? When is it going to moon? Should I sell? Like they buy shit and just expect it to go 10x instantly because they are dumb noobs with a get rich quick attitude who can't think for themselves.
It's not hard to find coins where almost all the volume takes place on bittrex and/or polo and shill those. I've seen some coins spike 10-20% after he posts about them. You'll say, that's not a big deal, why would he care about that? But when you're playing with big money that 10-20% is a lot of money. He could be accumulating a coin for weeks at a low price and then post about it and dump it for an almost guaranteed profit. You could dump 10-20k into a coin and make thousands of dollars in a couple days (or hours) from making ONE post but most of the plebs don't have that kind of money to play with so they don't think about it like that.
I invested for the long term. So it's a bet that did not cost much 100 000 verge and not too much to lose. It's getting more value each day. Verge is a good crypto and soon will be in TOP50 and next step end of 2017 TOP25 .

you do great job with the basic of trading strategies. you can buy in lower price at 3447 satoshi and you sell at 6630 satoshi. yes I am sure soon the price will drop but I don't think the price will be down into 34xx satoshi, maybe its about 4xxx satoshi and you can buy back again and make a good profit like before. but you need to be careful because sometimes if the price is down, the price is down for more but you don't have to worried because the price is always increase as long as there is nothing bad happen in the market.

I don't think you're bashing at all, I invested a decent amount into this ICO and believe it will be very successful if they can bring really good tech that is marketed correctly for mainstream adoption. However, you bring up many good points/questions and ones that I mulled over myself before entering the ICO.
Regarding the payment for 'mining' (or rewarding/staking from what it sounds like per Richard's interview?) I think that if this coin becomes valuable enough to raise the value of mining, then it will become a bit of a snowball effect wouldn't it? We can try to predict how much the price per coin will be but it really is based on the volume of people using the currency and if millions of people are actively using and mining the system will become self sustaining and quite powerful.
However, I believe your skepticism is in the 'how' aspect and that is what ultimately will make or break this project. How exactly will the Electroneum team convince millions upon millions of everyday humans to go to their app store, download Electroneum and mine away until their eyes bleed? I guess that is what we will have to find out and I'm betting that these guys will figure it out...

What I would point out here is that on top of that viral effect, marketing Apps in mainstream markets comes down to cost per acquisition, the advertising cost paid per download. It is way way way less than a dollar.
These guys have already paid their own money to design everything ahead of time.
They have first mover advantage as the first crypto mined successfully and safely on a cellphone.
But you aren't actually mining. Richard says so in his interview video. All it's doing is checking your GPU and sending out coins based on that. It's just a gimmick to get users in the hopes that it will keep them.
They are in the top on their field (marketing) and they know how to get downloads.
They have already raised 3 million and will end up with 10-15 million.
But you dont argue that, they are gonna get millions of downloads, what you seem to question is what effect that will have on the markets.
They will easily pass Bitcoin in total users, which has never been done. This will generate a ton of press, which will only move the growing snowball down the hill faster.
I can generate millions of users/downloads too if I start an app that gives out money for free. Apps get income from users in turn actually spending money on other perks that they want. How will millions of users make this successful when most of them won't end up using the coins for anything or best case just dumping their free coins if they figure out how to exchange them for fiat? If the target was the average person then I can see them working on keeping those people around but when their real market is gamers, the majority of those people will not be gamers, so what incentive is there for them to continue using the coin for anything? Todays society is all about instant gratification. When people find out they can't do anything with the coins they'll likely move on, like I've said.
Will the news that Electroneum passed Bitcoin in amount of users cause ETN to pass Bitcoin in marketcap? No. That will not be enough.
What it will do is reach $1 or so a coin and be worth 10-15% of the marketcap Bitcoin has now.
Why?
Because a network with millions of people has value. The news of having the most crypto users has value. Investors will see it as the next big thing and buyers will flock to the markets.
This will only get it more attention, and the snowball continues to pick up speed and only increase in size.
Bitcoin has 3 million users. ETN will have more. It wont cost $4000 a piece, but those that got in for a penny or less will make absolutely insane ROI that lands ETN on the Top Ten highest ROIs from a tokensale in crypto history.

You dont agree that millions of users of an App will bring IMMENSE value to a crypto. I get that for now.
Thats fine that you dont see it that way and all, but there are those that do, which will make it skyrocket in price right there.
That value added just by perception, and that happens a lot of times in cryptoland.
But then everyone eventually dumps, right? I do truly understand where you are coming from, as I used to feel the same way.
The difference is this crypto will gain a ton of users just because of the initial buzz. Everyone will want to get free money.
What I would point out here is that on top of that viral effect, marketing Apps in mainstream markets comes down to cost per acquisition, the advertising cost paid per download. It is way way way less than a dollar.
These guys have already paid their own money to design everything ahead of time.
They have first mover advantage as the first crypto mined successfully and safely on a cellphone.
But you aren't actually mining. Richard says so in his interview video. All it's doing is checking your GPU and sending out coins based on that. It's just a gimmick to get users in the hopes that it will keep them.
They are in the top on their field (marketing) and they know how to get downloads.
They have already raised 3 million and will end up with 10-15 million.
But you dont argue that, they are gonna get millions of downloads, what you seem to question is what effect that will have on the markets.
They will easily pass Bitcoin in total users, which has never been done. This will generate a ton of press, which will only move the growing snowball down the hill faster.
I can generate millions of users/downloads too if I start an app that gives out money for free. Apps get income from users in turn actually spending money on other perks that they want. How will millions of users make this successful when most of them won't end up using the coins for anything or best case just dumping their free coins if they figure out how to exchange them for fiat? If the target was the average person then I can see them working on keeping those people around but when their real market is gamers, the majority of those people will not be gamers, so what incentive is there for them to continue using the coin for anything? Todays society is all about instant gratification. When people find out they can't do anything with the coins they'll likely move on, like I've said.
Will the news that Electroneum passed Bitcoin in amount of users cause ETN to pass Bitcoin in marketcap? No. That will not be enough.
What it will do is reach $1 or so a coin and be worth 10-15% of the marketcap Bitcoin has now.
Why?
Because a network with millions of people has value. The news of having the most crypto users has value. Investors will see it as the next big thing and buyers will flock to the markets.
This will only get it more attention, and the snowball continues to pick up speed and only increase in size.
Bitcoin has 3 million users. ETN will have more. It wont cost $4000 a piece, but those that got in for a penny or less will make absolutely insane ROI that lands ETN on the Top Ten highest ROIs from a tokensale in crypto history.
I'm not here to bash, just asking legitimate questions in hopes of getting some real counter argument.

Exchange will have ETN on november 1st. Right now you can only get ETN on electroneum website/ICO.

Hi, I've installed the Electroneum on my Mobile but i cannot find my Electroneum Wallet Address, Please help me, Thanks.
The blockchain doesnt go live until Nov 1st. There is nothing the App does until then.
Your coins are safe on the website because they cant be moved because the blockchain isnt turned on yet.

App is already released in Android and iOS is finished and Apple already checked it out and we are at the final approval stage.
All we need now is to show we have volume on an exchange, and it will be approved.
We come out of the gate with Cyyptopia, Yobit, Evercoin at launch Nov 1 and Bittrex in Nov
