Just posted my application to join the signature bounty campaign and reading the messages and replies of EthBet makes me feel like i did a good thing joining it (hopefully i will be accepted). The project seems to be promising, and i wish it gets success like other dice platforms running around these days.
Best of luck!

I liked most of what I saw and I think you guys are pretty knowledgeable about the ecosystem and stuff. I still have some doubts nevertheless
Why did you buy followers and retweets/favs? It's pretty obvious and it adds some scammy vibes to the project...
You also said if the crowdsale doesn't meet the minimum you'll give the ETH back to investors. Is this something coded in the smartcontract that we could audit? Also, with so many hacks/scams/phishing attacks going on with ICOs, did you guys take enough security measures to ensure a smooth ICO?
And last, if it goes well, do you see the EBET token getting listed on some major exchange like Bittrex?

Hi, thank you for the good questions. Our smart contract for the crowdsale is almost finished and it will be audited and it will be open-source. The minimum cap will be coded into the smart contract, although we don't anticipate it will get that little funding. Everything about the crowdsale should be open-source, public, transparent, etc, as it will actually be on the Ethereum blockchain.

As far as Twitter goes, we are enrolled in many different types of ICO marketing packages, some of which include rather strong social media promotion. Twitter has a lot of bots on it (I think you'll notice this on just about any larger Twitter account), and the actions they perform are out of our control, but I appreciate this question and will see if I can provide more information.

I can't predict who will list EBET. Now that it's not a security, I'm hoping that Bittrex is not outside of the question later on, but no guarantees can be made. We would love for EBET to eventually be on many medium-sized exchanges, but at this point all I can guarantee is it will be tradeable and you will be able to buy/sell it on decentralized exchanges. There's a high probability of it being added to some of the smaller ones as well.

In other news we hope that our Bounty thread is posted some time today, very sorry for the delays.

ICO like this one sure to be successful, because ICO aims to develop business  that has been running this is certainly a special attraction for investors
because it offers advantages that are already in the eyes of another case if still a concept of course need some time to process

Thank you for the positive feedback.

Wondering who are the person developing this project.  Huh Huh
Thank you for the question. This is partially addressed on Reddit and in our FAQ section, although our team members are not public figures and are currently not mentioned on the website.

Hi all, unfortunately out bounty campaign manager has had a delay and the thread is now scheduled to be posted tomorrow, Tuesday September 12th. We apologize fo this delay.

Alright thanks for the news!

Anyhow when everything is launch and operates well, is there chance that it will turn back to dividend model? I like dividend based casino token xd

Then, with the recent change, it stated it is uses as the playing token/paying fees? Can i bet with ETH?

Thanks

Yes, betting will be primarily in ETH. Later on we can add support for any Ethereum-based (ERC20) token. The dividends model likely cannot be re-added directly as it would make the token considered a security very easily, which would lead exchanges to not want to list it and potentially cause some other problems down the line. There's a lot of tokens that have succeeded using a model similar to what Ethbet's now is, so we're still optimistic. If things don't work out well regardless, we can try to find some clever changes that turn the tables and hopefully allow our investors to get some amazing returns over time. This obviously cannot be guaranteed but it's a high-priority goal for us.

HI EthBet team,

Could you please provide more detail about roadmap milestones?
Please specify clearly the KPI's targets planned in each phase!

Thank you!

Hi, thank you for the question. The roadmap is an approximate roadmap, as we don't know how much funding we will get and we aren't able to completely predict some of the challenges that we may face, it's hard to give specific dates and estimates.

The first and primary goal is for us to release an on-blockchain beta along with a web interface. This would be on the Ethereum test networks, and can be completed anywhere between 1-3 months. After that it will be improved upon until it's suitable to go live, which may take awhile longer. Getting this dicing application functioning on-blockchain is the primary goal, and after that we will look into expanding the features, etc, if possible.

All potential Ethbet investors should read https://medium.com/@ethbet/changes-to-the-ethbet-token-model-e4eef4923b91 for updates to the token.

> The legal landscape regarding tokens that pay dividends has gotten notably worse over the past few months.

I don't get it, can't such projects just find a jurisdiction which causes fewer problems, and do everything from there?

Or can't they just not care? I believe that was the point of cryptocurrencies, to change the current landscape that gives advantage to those already rich.

An organization like the SEC's job is the protect US residents (investors). They're not concerned with what country the operation is based in. Just like if someone opens up a store that will ship illegal drugs to the US from outside of the country, they would be taken down if it caused enough problems. Unfortunately this anaology works for unregistered securities as well. A good example of this was the btc-e exchange, which operated out of many different countries, none of which were the US. But regardless, they were taken down for not performing proper KYC with their customers.

Although country of operation is important, it still doesn't let you do anything you want to do, so the landscape is going to become more and more regulated regardless of if a few countries are opposed to it.

Wow, this actually seems really smart. Why hasn't anybody thought about doing this until now? So will there be absolutely no middlemans, and no fees for the players except Ethereum fees? Player + contract + Player?

Thank you for your interest. There are some similar projects described in our Medium post linked above. The fees should be less than all other on-blockchain alternatives, but we cannot predict exactly what they will be at this point.

In other news the original poster's infographic on this thread has been updated and no longer contains outdated information.
