Why can’t US and Singapore citizens participate in the FundCoin ICO? How do you intend to determine where the investor is situated?

What about people from EU?

Why can’t US and Singapore citizens participate in the FundCoin ICO? How do you intend to determine where the investor is situated?

Unlike traditional assets, ICOs are currently unregulated or only lightly regulated in many countries — though there have recently been moves to tighten regulation in certain key jurisdictions. As a result of this, US and Singaporean investors are excluded from the FundCoin crowdsale. The current state of regulation in these jurisdictions means we are unable to recommend investment in our project to parties based in these areas.

What will happen after the ICO ends? How do I benefit?

After the ICO, proceeds will be allocated to the Lowestoft Fund that invests in cash-generating assets providing stable overtime income and tapping into the blockchain industry’s potential by investing in the market leaders. To support liquidity and NAV growth, at the end of the first quarter — 3 to 4 months after the end of the ICO — the Fund will buy back FNDs from investors* using part of the profits from FundCoin’s portfolio of investments. At this point, investors will benefit from selling their FundCoins. Besides, they will be able to trade their FNDs on exchanges at any time. When all FND tokens are bought back from the market, the Fund will consider arranging an additional FND issue. This buyback approach does not have the same regulatory implications as issuing a dividend, and is a robust way of delivering value to investors.

Why do you use ICO for raising funds? With your history and 500m AUM, it seems like you could have raised the required amount via traditional funding rounds.

The ICO is a revolutionary new way to get funded and a great opportunity to “kickstart” a fund targeting to invest in the blockchain industry. In our case, since the initial idea was to bridge the opportunities of blockchain technology and private equity and create a more inclusive and sustainable investment vehicle, this new approach to fundraising has several advantages over a traditional one.
