But there are urgent things that need to be fixed sooner than later. Especially the price gap between exchange and lending kills trust. High withdrawal fees are next in line.

That's why bitconnect has low withdrawal fee 0.0004 BTC. They pack transactions into a group. Many people use bitconnect platform instead of BTC wallets. HBC should do the same.

First of all, staking works with inputs, but not addresses. It goes thorough the inputs of all addresses and check maturity of inputs on your wallet. Staking coins can be added to one address, it's ok. Staking can even combine your inputs in one.
