AAre we gonna be able to refil those gift cards with more zix?

Does it work that way? I thought you use zix to buy gift cards.

Yes,  your correct that it how it works you choose the gift card you want, pay with your Zix and then redeem for the product or service you wanted.

So you could use your Zix to buy a $50 Starbucks gift card to use every day at your favorite Starbucks until it ran out and then you'd buy a new one.

could you refill it to an exact amount? Like not be limited to $50 but if you need only $29,75?

The cards are fixed denominations so they would be $10, $20 and so on

What if the price of a product is let say $96, 97, or 98 ... do we buy it with a coupon of $ 100 and there remains a difference or is it lost to the merchant?

If you have a $100 gift card and make a purchase of $96, the remaining balance on your gift card will be $4. This will be the balance on the gift card until you use it to make another purchase.

Can gift card expire?

Interestingly, I know that the gift cards bought at some store or shopping center mostly have expiration date, it's for one year period.

If someone has missed thos they have an interesting new article on medium https://medium.com/the-zeex-protocol/erc-20-223-827-what-they-mean-to-you-5c4464a325af . I know somebody asked what's the diference with the two so this might clear up a few things.

Thank you for sharing. The article clearly describes the purpose of ERC-223 and ERC-827 tokens.

I know that you already have Starbucks secured on the list, but do you have any plans for partnership with  other popular places where we could eat and drink, like Hard Rock Caffe,.TGI Friday or even Domino's Pizza?

Im sure many would gladly spend ZIX there.Well atleast I know I would Cheesy

We plan to expand quickly worldwide and add numerous other distributors like Zeek in local markets as well so you'll be able to spend your money anywhere. Our current partnerships and list of brands we will be working with, can be found here.

www.zeek.me

www.giftery.ru

All are welcome to our protocol. As a platform we are always looking to bring aboard more providers. And as Ziv mentioned before we will be announcing more providers from various geographics and markets soon:)

So you are taking all Zeek partners?

We invite any supplier to join our protocol! It benefits the supplier, our protocol, and the consumers. By lending capital to suppliers, we can incentivize participation in the Zeex protocol and drive organic growth. With so many parties interested in using the platform, it’s a necessity because otherwise there won’t be enough volume or inventory for the demand.

You can read more about the Zeex business model in this article - https://medium.com/the-zeex-protocol/the-zeex-business-model-with-cto-ziv-isaiah-3c588ad19da

Wow I think the community is excited and overwhelmed to use the protocol and seems many are eager to be in it when it launch.

Will zeex have its own blockchain? I mean it will be great to have our own blockchain.

I think there is no need really for own blockchain, ethereum one is more than good at the moment.

Do you remember cryptokitties, and what that did to ethereum blockchain?

Can these kind of things affect ZEEX?

No, what happened? Can somebody explain it?

Cryptokitties pretty much stopped Ethereum in its track, No transactions were going through at all, clogged entire network, there was around 15k pending transactions all the time for like 5-6 days.

Hehehe, I was a part of that, clogging the ETH with breeding kitties, lot of money was made and lot of money was lost by people Cheesy It was really fun though, but ETH is working on scalabillity, kitties were a good lesson Cheesy

Terrible Shocked And how is this resolved?

It won't be a problem for Zeex;

"Even in very large scales, we're not going to meet the tps limit.

Let's take a very big scale for example: say a billion dollars worth of gift cards are going to be sold in the next year.
Thats:
•10,000,000 gift cards – $100 avg card (although we expect the average transaction to be much higher than $100)
•10M transaction in a year
•That's 3.3 tps

Also another thing to remember: If a user bought a $100 Starbucks card and used it everyday to buy coffee for a month, only the first transaction (buying the GC) is on the blockchain. "

Thank you for the clarification.

I wanna know if there are  any competitors doing the same thing?? I looked and couldn't see anything similar and def not with big partners already

There are a few but as you said they lack  the connections to retailers and financial backing that Zeex has. More importantly than backing and existing networks, Zeex will be completely decentralized. They also avoid fiat and fees entirely rather than charge extra for the conversion like most service providers.

The big benefit here is Zeek as a working product for purchasing without crypto. Works well as a fallback and helps Zeex create more partnerships than others.
