That's really a noble cause and it would be great to have such a protocol flourish. I think people are just wondering what's the profit here for the team.

Nope! Zeex is decentralised - as such, gift card distributors/brands themselves will decide the discount levels to list their gift cards, and that is exactly what the consumers will have available to them. Zeex is simply the protocol, not the middle man taking a cut!
