Hey Cardstack fans! 👋😊

Here's Wilfred Chan's message regarding the latest news about
Cardstack Partner, Dot Blockchain Media, Announces Deal with Warner Music Group to Build Media Rights Platform Using Cardstack Framework

"This is a pretty cool development for us👌🏼 Warner Music Group is HUGE — and they want to use blockchain for music rights.
They've picked our partners dotBC to start the pilot program and dotBC will be building it on the Cardstack Framework.
We couldn't ask for a better real world use case. It means we get to ship a decentralized application for a world-class client and learn a lot about shipping a industry-ready production system powered by distributed ledger technology.
Working outside of the crypto world forces you to think about the kind of problems that we'll all need to solve to win mass adoption.
So when big enterprise or tech unicorns get on board with our tools, they'll be able to trust that it's mature."

A Note From Dot Blockchain Media, Chief Strategy Officer, Benji Rogers

“The future of rights management will be one in which machines will augment the work of humans and enable the music industry to work at a speed and scale fit for the digital era. Warner has fully embraced this vision, and are leading with a data-first and future-facing strategy that will benefit not only those artists and writers that they represent but the music industry as a whole.”

🚀💥Cardstack Partner Dot Blockchain Media Announces Deal with Warner Music Group to Build Media Rights Platform Using Cardstack Framework💥🚀

Congratulations to our partner Dot Blockchain Media (dotBC), who have announced a deal with Warner Music Group (WMG) — one of the top three largest record labels and music publishers in the world — to build a media rights management platform on the blockchain, using the Cardstack Framework.

The industry-leading pilot program enables record labels and publishers to form a collective truth about their media assets using a distributed ledger, ensuring metadata about ownership rights and representation remains up to date and is permanently associated with recorded media wherever it goes. The platform will manage an initial collection of 5,000 tracks under WMG.

The Cardstack Framework allows the correlation of the metadata and media files to be bundled as a version-controlled repository using our Git plugin. Using our Card Flow workflow UI, participants can submit changes and updates to these bundles, which can then be viewed, edited, approved, and/or denied by counterparties. The complete record of metadata submissions and amendments is tracked via a permissioned ledger running on Hyperledger Sawtooth — which can be searched and viewed by anyone using Cardstack’s search engine plugins.

We applaud dotBC and Warner Music Group for taking this important step toward creating a modern media rights infrastructure for the music industry — and we’re excited to be a part of this groundbreaking implementation of blockchain for solving real world problems.

Could you tell me what is so valuable in Hyperledger?
Why this  joining is so important?
I keep my fingers crossed for the Cardstack project!

"Hyperledger technology has already played an important role in the development of the Cardstack Framework. Now, Cardstack will also be an active contributor to the Hyperledger community. As we adopt their open-source tools, we will provide Hyperledger with real-world requirements that will continue to push the project to grow."

Encouraging news. This proves Cardstack long term plans and adds more credibility in customer's eyes and will obviously help in attracting more potential users aiming to utilize its technology.
Besides Hyperledger and the many great partnerships to come and the unique concept of Cardstack, the team is strong, and never stops coding. This is one of the organizations that will move crypto from speculation to utility.

Yes, you are right as a cardstack lover we love to expect this type of motivational words but in the coming days we need to get more updates from you. Most of the people here are waiting for the development updates from your side.

Hello, Onebtcforlife, great that you have a close eye on Cardstack. Cool

Regarding the recent updates, the smart-contract has been renewed: https://medium.com/cardstack/cardstack-adopts-zeppelinos-to-grow-token-ecosystem-b873800193e2

Also, make sure to periodically check https://github.com/cardstack/cardstack for the technical additions. Smiley

As mentioned above, Chris met with some of the Hyperledger community leaders on Monday, and learned a great deal of interesting things about the different capabilities that Hyperledger brings. The team is definitely planning on incorporating it into future projects.

For more on the day-to-day progress, as well as direct interaction with the team and the community don't forget to follow Cardstack's Official Telegram channel.
Great news and auspicious partnerships which allows implementing efficient solutions for the project. As far as I know hyperladger participants owe to pay annually a certain amount for participating, are there any special terms for CardStack or general ones?

“We already have what we need to build these tools. But to deliver them to end users, we must make sure they are easy to use. That means we can’t decentralize everything instantly and expect everyone to get on board. We have to build on-ramps for people to gradually change their workflows, and orchestrate software that can allow for the centralized and decentralized Internet to coexist.” — writes Chris in this article for Nasdaq
