The next version of the #IOST testnet will be launched by October. Right after that, developers will be able to developer cool things on top of IOST (JavaScript will be supported! yay!), we will also launch courses, host hackathons & etc.  The next 6 months will be very exciting!

Looks like prices will continue to decline seeing this year is a chart point that will touch the lowest point, actually the IOST is very good but most traders will hold it.

It went up around 0.07$ but now trading around $0.013. I too think it is a good coin to hold for long-term so I'm still holding my coins.

But I feel if bitcoin again goes down then it may trade less than 0.01$. If that happens I will consider buying some more because its initial coin price is 0.1$ so if it reaches that level then we can make around 10-time profit.

I believe that IOST is better than ETH and at the same time I think that Ethereum does not give you anything for free, in any case I think that in life, if someone gives you a gift, you do not have to complain because what you have been given is not due.

In IOSToken whitepaper there is a paragraph that explains the measures in case of fraud:

...If a validator is detected as misbehaviour, it will lose all the tokens and reputation in the system while the defrauded users will be compensated for any loss..

I have two questions about this:

1 - How will misbehaviour validator tokens be removed?

2 - How defrauded users will be compensated for yours losses?

Best regards

Hi Luizsmf!

I can give you my slightly less technical understanding:

1) Misbehaving validators will be automatically punished with token removal by the network upon being caught misbehaving.

2) The confiscated tokens will be pooled to compensate users for any losses sustained from malicious actors.

I believe we will be launching our updated whitepaper in the near future which will go more in-depth into the specific technical actions that will occur.
