Anyone else having more issues with Hash at me?  One of my miners can't connect now.  For a while none of them could.  Stratum_subscribe error now.  Was getting stratum_recv_line error earlier.

It has the volume to make a good coin successful though.  A crap coin will fail, but even with the limited volume on bittrex it dipped to 40-50 and hung there nicely, so I think it will be fine on Mint.  There is too big of a community built around it to not stabilize after a week or so on there.

I think you underestimate the masses....

Somebody just moved the entire price down 5 sat because he wanted to dump his 14,000 coins... That's like one card for one day.

We already gained so many people who are only going to stick around for a week before deciding that the diff is too high.

I am not saying you are wrong, but just saying that slow and steady is far preferable for me... I would rather not see huge price gains of 100% in a day, and I would rather not add all the exchanges in the span of a week.

I hope to see them spread out, so new smaller traders are exposed to the coin at higher and higher price points which they can make up their minds.

I want the coin to settle at 60 right now, and make another move in 5-7 days.

I would rather see gambling sites opening up taking the coin than trading sites... create demand for the coin to be used, and the exchanges will take care of themselves.

JPCdice has been great for this coin, but it can't be the only game in town.

To me gambling sites taking JPC is like amazon taking BTC for sales... (not the same scale mind you), but an actual use is far more important than a trade.

Well said nomad!

Yes, we need to *use* this coin.  Right now, gambling would the our best bet.  Later, anyone wanting to do what bitcoin does -- transfer value -- but at a much greater speed, can find a use outside of gambling.

So.. how can we pool our resources to build a jackpotcoin casino?  Nothing shitty.. something to be proud of, that's fully functional.  There must be some BTC casinos out there that we could modify?

How about an Android app for letting people play card games at home and gamble using JPC?  We *need* more usage... just like in the BTC world.

There are at least 3 or 4 gambling/gaming sites for it already, but I agree there should be more choices.  The problem with slow and steady with low volume is that it can be manipulated far too easily by virtually anyone.  For example, I don't think it would have started it's run to 88 yesterday if I wasn't buying up anything under 60 on both exchanges and keeping it stable for at least 30min straight before we got a 41btc order locked in on bittrex.  Didn't take me much coin either.  I also couldn't sell half like I wanted to at 80 since it would have stopped all momentum and driven it down to who knows where.

We don't need mintpal to get JPC used and abused. Look at cryptometh and Recently ENC. You guys are sending JPC to its deathbed!!

I tend to agree... it seems like just a pile of day-traders, who essentially just run a coin up and down so much everyone gets tired of waiting for it to do anything else and leaves....

I have stopped even looking at coin data there... so getting JPC listed there doesn't excite me.

Wow... the coin goes from 40sat to 80sat yesterday, and now people are writing their obituaries for JPC.

Seriously, people need to take a breath and step away from the make a buck day-trader culture.

Coins will indeed come and go, but good coins who bring something new to the table and get noticed will stay quite a bit longer than the 2 month lifecycle of the clone-coins.

I am not making any case pro-or-con on JPC in this, but the good coins will rise to the top, make their moves and solidify a position far longer than 8 weeks.

It takes time to get noticed by a broader audience, and with that it will bring a time of the pump-and-dump day traders who will eventually tire of the coin not rising and falling 50% in a day and move on to another coin.

That is when there is a chance... It will get stormy, but those who believe there is a future in near instant transactions (point-of-sale) and gambling (always a good market there) see the potential to go far beyond a few weeks.

Based on nothing but my own personal look at the charts, and weighed against what I feel is a 'good value' for what it brings that most other coins cannot even touch, I can say that 400sat would be a really good level for this coin.

I am holding what I still have to see how the waves flow...

I hope u are right because i want to keep mining. It's so much easier to make BTC with Nvidia than any other coin right now.

So, hypothetically, you win the jackpot. Awesome.

How do you cash out without killing the coin? No one wants to sit at a PC and sell off that much slowly on multiple exchanges, but what's the alternative?

I am bored at work and am day dreaming.

Let me tell you my experience.  I won the 80m jackpot few weeks ago. out of 80m I donated 8m to the mintpal vote and I have been selling small amounts 1-2m at a time to make sure that price isn't effected.
as of yesterday, I had 50m left, and sold 10m at a peak to a large wall at 80 satoshi.
today, when price hit 40 satoshi by a huge dump, I bought back 20m.

Having said that, I think my 80m jackpot is gonna be worth 50+ BTC by the time I sell out, slowly

And this is the story of only 1 jackpot winner and he is still holding those winning. I can imagine many more Jackpot winner in the future doing the same that should keep price down. 100 million sell could be whale cashing out, knowing is a losing battle. If we don't hit 80 again soon, we can safely say the whale have exited and never came back. If that is the case, 88 will be JPC ATH and it will be history. Those big farm came late for the party.

Maybe we will be back to 2 sat before we know it. I hope i am wrong because i dont want the party to end so soon but we all know the party gonna end one day.

No wonder how easily ppl get scared just by looking at a 3% exit.
Actually today's movement is even kind of healthy one.  JPC now has 320M volume today.
You will see another major jump very soon  Wink

i really hope so. I just want to give everyone a heads up and be alert. After all , JPC major buy demand is only created by 1 whale. If he decide to pull out, we all know where it's heading.

Hopefully we can see those 40 BTC buy order again.

How long after encrypting and unlocking the wallet does it take for staking to start?
Staking happens automatically once you have sufficient stake weight (a combination of number of coins eligible to staked and the number of days since the coins were last staked). The higher your total stake weight in relation to the rest of the network, the more likely staking for your eligible coins will occur and the longer the coins take before staking, the more accrued interest you will receive from the 0.1% accumulated per day from all eligible coins after the minimum 1 day holding period.

You don't need to leave the wallet open for your coins to accumulate stake age, but you do need the wallet open and unlocked for staking to occur. You also don't lose any accumulated stake interest by waiting for the staking to occur as long as your eligible coins stake at least once every 100 days (maximum stake holding period). Each time you transfer coins from to or from the wallet, the stake age for those coins resets and you will have to wait a minimum of 1 day before they become eligible for staking again. The coins that remain unmoved will continue to accumulate stake age until they stake and then the stake cycle for those coins begins over again. Most PoS coins work in the same way.

About 24-48hrs after the coins arrived in your wallet they should start to stake.

Man your pool efficiency has gone down the drain, what's up with that?

I didn't shut off the stratum while I was doing some of the upgrade at 3:30AM EDT this morning, so ~40mins of invalid shares were submitted to the DB massively skewing the stats. The stats are inaccurate at the moment, they should normalize and increase back to the true 97-98% range over the next 24hrs as more valid shares are submitted. My ccminer is showing 99.2% accepted locally. Let me know if you're seeing different you end.

I'm barely getting 80%, only one of my rigs is getting 95%, I'm assuming may be it's because of the difficulty increase...

Checking your workers for you, I will PM you.

I fear that the pump is over. Now JPC is on all profit calculator so a lot of big guys jump in. And they just mine and dump, nothing else. JPC has done well, beyond expectation. But I dont think it will go over 100 sat. Sorry to say that guys.

Truth is that is stayied at those heights for quite a long time. If tomorrow I wake up to a price that is not 15% less than what it is right now I'd be surprised. But again, that's just my opinion.  Wink Good luck to the traders out there. The miners that held sure had a big win! Cheesy
