You need to:

[1] - make sure your wallet is unlocked. If it's locked it won't stake

[2] - leave it open for at least 24 hours to "activate" staking

[3] - leave it a further 24 hours before you get your first "stake"

[4] - after that, as long as the wallet is:

- unlocked
- connected to the internet (your energy saver didn't kick in in the night and loose you hours of staking)
- already matured by at least 24 hours

....then it should stake every 24 hours after that. Sometimes a few times per day if your coin ages are staggered)

Is it because the pos diff increases so that you may need to wait some time for the pos to be generated? leave wallet open longer may help.
also make sure your wallet is not encrypted or locked.
