it seems you either are on the wrong blockchain or way out of sync'd
Cold war has been over for about 30years..

Yeah LoL Smiley I designed 'commiecoin' by mistake.

Sorry 'bout that.

Here's my contribution.

I'm not a designer so it's just another idea from a different angle.

Also, it can be useful to do the "Coinwarz test" to see how the logo stands out from those around it. See if you can find it in their catalogue... Smiley

The other looks better... but the small star on the side is nice (may-be too flat... whatever I mean)
(something strange though... the nicer coin logo are those of sha256 coin...)

man... i hate the communists with their red stars! ... only sickle and hammer missing

Maybe its been explained before, but could someone recap how to setup the jackpotcoin wallet and gain POS?

If you're using QT:

[1] - open the wallet
[2] - encrypt it (Settings --> Encrypt Wallet)
[3] - quit
[4] - restart
[5] - note your wallet address

Staking:

[6] - transfer coins to wallet
[7] - you should see a message in the bottom left hand corner saying "Minting suspended due to locked wallet"
[8] - click the "Unlock Wallet" button and type your password - the message should go away
[9] - wait 24 hours with your wallet open and don't let your energy saver put the machine to sleep
[10] - just continue leaving your wallet open and at the end of the second day check to see if you have anything in your transaction history with a couple of hammers (mining icon). That says that those coins were mined as opposed to 'transferred' into the wallet

So basically, it's just a case of leaving your wallet open all the time and UNLOCKED. Remember to unlock your wallet whenever you launch it, otherwise it won't be able to stake. I always forget that bit.

Solo Miner Legend
What settings are you running on? On my 7970 I get 100% HW Error / rejected, no matter the -I, -g or such. :-/

Try with proper shaders amount according to your gpu and let sgminer to choose best TC to start. My conf is almost the default one. What I've changed is intensity and shaders amount. First of all don't set the intensity to high, try with 15 or so, than add 1 in sgminer running and check results. If now HW/rej appear, just save the conf^^ Remmember to delete *.bin file every time you get into sgminer. Sometimes the miner start with different high of TC while you're running just on shaders.

radeon 6770m, @850MHz GPU 900MHz MEM, 12.10 Catalyst, 2.7 APP SDK

You seem to be running this on linux, is it Ubuntu, Debian or something like BAMT?

I got it working on my 7950, with -I 18, TC 22400, -g 1, --gpu-opt 3, etc But I couldn't even get it working on my 7970 (only 2 GB RAM on that machine), with -I 10, TC 8192 or 2048, -g 1 or 2. :-/ Maybe I need more RAM to increase the TC, but I should be able to run it at a low setting, I don't understand it. Maybe if I run it on Linux, it doesn't require much RAM at all.

Which source did you compile?

LoL. "commiecoin". Thats an idea.

Of course distribution would have to be tightly controlled and no trading allowed  Wink

I approve of this  Grin

Cloudminers haven't found a block 1 hour?!
Something wrong with the pool?

it's normal i checked some pools and block times and it all seems ok to me..
we have to remember that our pools are doing each a bit more than 0.05% of the entire network hash rate roughly.
so unlike most coins we didn't all pile on one pool out of greed so 1 pool is 90% of the network hash speed like we usually do..
this was probably to try and get the block solo mining i bet but hey at least it's providing,
a far more secure coin network back bone far more secure to 51% attacks than any other coin out there similar in popularity.
yet another feature and reason JPC is better than other coins lol
this has led to pools being evened out with users being dispersed among many pools..
which is what we always want for coin health reasons but never get.
for once our greed has improved our situation rather than hindered it.

i am no coin networking expert though so feel free to tell me i'm full of shit on that if that is the case lol

edit:
OP: you may want to add that bit of info to your sales pitch it's a nice selling point i think.
i consider hashing power money so when i hold my cash and look for a coin to buy into i wanna see lots of nice features on the box lol

I have to say,

This is one of the most innovative coins I have seen in a while. Good job Dev!

Looking forward to seeing this flourish.

Don't forget to vote for JPC at mintpal...

Voting!!!

Just a thought devs..
In the title of this thread it should say something along the lines of "Instant Transactions#1st Separate PoW/PoS#More Efficient than X11, ASIC Resistant Algo!" to attract new crowds!

I change the title regularly, but yours is too long, so I had to shorten it...

Yes, please update the thread title so others can see how awesome this coin really is!  Grin

All transactions I have done so far in JPC was max 30 seconds but I think on average around 10-15 seconds! That is really quick. Right now when I send bitcoins I have to wait forever for them to get confirmed even when I pay the fee. Not sure thought if its my client that is buggy.

I hope the big gambling sites will notice this coin and make it the universal payment method in the near future. Think about being able to use JPC on all your favorite gambling sites, and you can easily withdraw and deposit because it only takes seconds and you dont have to hassle with credit cards or wire transfers.

Folks - this coin works !

I've had my wallet open for nearly 2 days now and have started receiving "mined" coins in the transaction history.

If you've got crap mining equipment like me (Core 2 Duo, NVIDIA GE-Force 220 that wouldn't pull you out of bed) then buy some coins and stake-mine instead at negligible electricity cost !. Remember to unlock your wallet while you're staking and switch your PC or Mac's energy saver to config to only switch the screen off and not the CPU. You get a good interest rate in the early days of the coin - 10 times more than it will be in the long term.

You need to let your coins 'mature' for a day with the wallet open before you start receiving payments.

(b.t.w. although my 220 is in a PC, I'm 'staking' on my Macbook Pro. The JPC Mac client is great and right up to date).

I must say, everything about JPC that I've seen so far is rock solid. Things behave and work as advertised, no bugs, good wallets and cross platform support. Stuff happening on time. Seems a very professional job.

yeah... all works fine.
also the quantity and rewards have been chosen well that even at 1 satoshi the coin is profitable to mine Smiley
