Concerning the news on the Facebook Multicoin Tipping App (of which KARMA is a part of), there was some comments from the creator Alejandro Calballero on his assessment which of the coins have initially become the most tipped as well as hold those most enthusiasm by facebookers/tippers:

The big dumps happend allready last night. We are now recovering and should be prepared to the upcomming btc market. With prepared I mean that we all should shout it out in every corner of the crypto world as soon as we hit the btc market.

I agree but there wasn't enough people (or the right people) thinking the price would go up to make it a self fulfilling prophecy. Given how anti climatic that was I think the price will drop a little before recovering again. The price of Karma should go up easier now than it did before with less miners dumping. Hopefully not too many people wanted to sell after the reward change expecting the price would go up.

In hindsight, if you think about it logically, that is exactly what should have happened given how reactive alt coin miners are to changes especially on smaller alt coins. The miners moved in 6 hours to completely adjust to the new hash rate.

We should strive for maintaining the 3 GH/s hashrate.

multipool-eu has ~75% of global hash power.

Sure it is reduced, just check the block explorer => 35,000 Karma reward.

It's just that while rewards dropped ~75%, the nethash also dropped ~75% (from 3GH/s to below 1GH/s), so profitability for the remaining miners is actually similar to before. There's still 75% less coins overall though.

Now is the time for BTC market. I hope Mintpal and Cryptsy are on the start button for them.

Not the news I hoped for but it had to be expected. Would have been better if the hashrate had stayed high, that would at least have indicated trust by miners that Karma will be worth mining despire lower rewards. Now price will have to catch up to regain that lost hashrate.

People can now mine Karma again relatively cheaply, the hash rate has adjusted to the new rewards.
