Guys I just had another great idea (ripped from mintpal)..

I noticed that the way they choose the next coin to support is by creating bitcoin addresses for each new coin and then asking people to send their votes to the coin address that they want to see added to mintpal. the coin address with the highest donations wins and then gets added to mintpal.

Why don't we do the same thing with Karma funded projects? ask people to vote by donating to Karma addresses representing each project for a period of time, say 1 month,  and then when that time month is up.. the project that has the highest donations gets funded by Karma for the following month...  after that the balance for that project is set to 0, then the next one is chosen the following month based again on whichever project has the highest votes/donations. (or we could do it every 3 months or whatever timeframe the community prefers)

All donations are added to a Pooled fund to support future projects.

I think it would be a great way to gather funds and community interest as well as decide on which charity projects to support.

the whole thing can be done transparently too because the donation addresses and pool address are public and everything is done on blockchain.

rather than relying on who can spam threads the most with their opinion or how many times they can click on polling buttons this would be an example of direct democracy where your opinion counts only for as much as you are willing to donate.

sounds like Karma to me....

plus its so easy to implement and you don't even need any special software do it.

its the same reason why Macdonalds is not allowed into many schools.. if its "For profit" then it doesn't have the childrens best interests at heart so most schools wont allow it.

there is a difference between products made by "for profit" companies being used into schools and products which advertise "for profit" companies going into schools. a huge difference.

also i want to add. We gave subscribers a lot of time to move to our new home. this tells me the ones left behind were probably in it for the freebies.

I don't see why it has to become non-profit. Most of the things we use in school are from for-profit companies.

this coin had 1000 miners on one pool and 700 miners on an other pool at the second day of its lunch. by the third day it had 18 Gh/s network.

Back then it was a record high.

A lot of people know about our coin. they are not active probably due to following other coins pumps and dumps. I am sure a lot of them check in here once a while


at the same time, when our coin reaches 39 litoshis or around there it become the most profitable to mine coin on a lot of websites that show mining profitability.

So yes, a lot of people do know about Karma : )

But you are correct. Due to us moving around a few times we did loose some subscribers. I will hunt them down soon and bring them back.

At the same time, the current team is busy lining up a lot of project and i wish more people here and everywhere gets more active to help spread the word about Karma. I have noticed that this coin sells its self to people. The connect to it. The get the message the moment we say our coin is Karma!

For Karma to be in schools and educational products we would have to separate the "For Profit" KarmaShares from the "Neutral" Karma and create a "Not For Profit" Karma Foundation.
I can certainly see that happening in the future but it would probably be a long way off. In the meantime I wholeheartedly agree with and support the making of Karma more accessible to a wider demographic which includes women, non technologically inclined people and younger people. A viral video OR a series of viral videos and simple how-to videos is what we need right now...

Just because we can see what is going on with this coin, doesn't mean most people know about it. I mean the subreddit only has 126 subscribers! Nobody knows about karma (or cares) which is a pretty big asset, as the pump and dumpers aren't trying to ruin the coin by making people think its a scam.

Actually, group buys for mining Karma is an interesting idea. It can even be a new Karma-based company. You buy into it and it pays out dividends (in Karma).

Here is how i see the future of Scrypt POW :
wait for Asic to kick in.
All scrypt coins will become hard to mine.
increase demands in buying from people who can not mine.
any good scrypt coin will survive. all the pointless one will die down.
Good scrypt become expensive.
early adapter buy more ASIC

here is a kicker. no mater if 10 GPUs or 10 ASICs. the same amount of Karma will be mined by the end of the day.

I see our coin to have enough buy support to buy all the sell order for the past month. ASICs miners will dump just as much. Karma is hard to mine in millions now. Not afraid of ASICs anymore. i embrace them.

Once an ASIC company is shows to be leggit. we should all create group buy in and buy a few to keep out network safe.

I think going to an asic-less algorithm is going to be important, but it really just depends on how they want to keep people getting coins. ASICs are about to dominate the market for Scrypt.

if you really think about it. its the same circle jerked 6000 btcs going in and out. who makes a bank in one scam pump. looses to the next. and so on.  pay no mind to it.

Everyone wants to jump on the newest coins because that's when you can make the most profit (in the first day or so). KARM is more of a long-term one instead of a pump'n'dump, .

Its crazy that coins that were created like yesterday suddenly get 3000+ BTC trade volume. Yet Karm only gets 2.5BTC. Sigh...

Volume has dried up again - God Damn these pump n dump scamcoins! Suckin' up all the BTC on the market haha >.<

Well, I guess I should clarify, there is a minimum payout which is about average compared to most pools. As soon as we can send it, its sent.

The instant sending is good for those that have high hash rates, but for those of us who don't, it's destructive (getting a ton of payments for, say 5 KARM fills up the wallet and bloats it).

I really really hope we will see a higher price for karma in few days weeks cause it really deserve it.
