What shootd the price up?

No reason for that. Funny is, I was not able to sell my KARM when it hit 600 litoshi, since it was stacked in KarmaShares and I can't sell it now, since mintpal lost my account with my KARM. It is 12 days since I can't access my account and there are thousands of others with the same problem. Maybe most of old KARM dumpers has blocked account like I have;)

Missing accounts are now coming online in batches, we will tweet when complete.

They enabled my account.I reset password, logged in, and all coins are missing. 0 coins awailable. Now what?

That`s the worst case. All you can do now is a ticket and I guess there will be thousends of them in the row before you.
I hope the best will happen and you get your coins back as soon as possible.
Can you tell us about how much of what coins you "lost"?

From what I see, I don't think Mintpal has lost any coins, they are just big noobs. They have snapshot of their old DB, so they can restore everything. The problem is they created new trading system, with new DB model. Database migration from one model to another is always pain in the ass. Those DB migrations have always hidden traps, and are always slow. They obviously did not test it before. Another problem is, they started trading without migrating everyhting correctly. If they were pros, they would restore old mintpal version after first day of migration failure and never start trading with corrupted and untested platform.

This is the reason, I don't think they will not return coins back, it will just take a time, but they lost all the trust they had.

I was smart enough, to never trust Mintpal much. In my oppinion serious trading platform do not add new scam coins and remove them when scammers dump them. Mintpal has more than 90% of coins different than cryptsy. Mintpal does not trade old coins. They almost always add new coins and delist them when they are dumped.  This is the reason, I did not belive them, that they plan to be longterm trading platform.   Any trader will be pissed if he buys coin and his coin is delisted. I started to trade on mintpal because of KARM, since it was both on Cryptsy and Mintpal, it looked like save investment for me. So I owned only KARM and LTC on Mintpal. They lost my 150 million KARM + some LTC. (I dumped all my KARM after Karmashares was closed and bought them back during huge dumps later, so I hope they will come back soon:))

About mintpal troubles.

Please take all necessary steps to RECORD the content of your MINTPAL account. Screenshots, screen video capture.

We don't know how long this problem will last and how it will end if ever. It is better to have something to prove what you MAY lose in case they totally screw everything up.

I can confirm this as well. Had a couple of different coins on mintpal and the account did not show up/migrate over to their version 2.
They did in fact rectify that.

I did do a test Karma coin transfer back to my wallet and although it is showing up on their system as confirmed, it was not received. Forgive me while I go quickly look into that.

I'm sorry to hear your problem.
It is the same that happened to me last Wednesday.

I've seen some people use Twitter with some success.
The exchange is having major problems.

+1

mintpal has been having major problems since the launch of V2... please everybody, when using any new service, make sure you test your deposits and withdrawals with small amounts of coins BEFORE sending large amounts of coins.

And keep the coins in your wallets.

Hello! Ask for advice from karma community. I am a novice in the world cryptocoin. Yesterday I put it on the output of all their karma coins mintpal, but in my purse, they did not reach, but also on the balance of the stock exchange, they have not returned. I wrote a ticket more than a day ago, but received no response. Please help karma community - what is this error and where to look for my karmakoin?

I prefer Cryptsy to open BTC market instead of Mintpal closing it. Grin The coin is healthy and trading. Everything else is nice to have, but not mandatory.

they already opened up Karm on the ripple market.. it needs to be worth a lot more before it is even worthwhile opening a BTC market.

Most of my karma is in my wallet but I had 1,000,000 in mintpal when they started their V2 crap.
I was using karma to test withdrawals before trying to move BtC and syscoin from there.

Lost 350,000 karma trying, but amazingly.....the BtC and Syscoin I got out.
I converted the last 650,000 karma to Ltc and bought Sys with it.
my advice? Convert it and move it out....or at least enough of it to work with until you can get the rest.

I guess odds are they'll get the place back together but i'm never going back.

I agree... the irony is that everyone was harping on constantly about the price on mintpal.. then mintpal screws up and the price of Karma actually goes up.

this tells me two things...

1) the community does not need mintpal so any and all arguments about mintpal delisting the btc/karm trade pair are now pointless.
2) any and all claims about this coin's death have been greatly exaggerated.

I hope you get your coins back.. mintpal has seriously burnt its users and I don't know if they will be able to recover from this.
this is why I have been advocating for a very long time not to change the coins fundamentals just to meet the desires of day traders who live on mintpal.

Maybe the fact that the coin is incredibly undervaluated taking its potential into consideration...
